There are jungle resorts and then there is 'Svasara'. This place actually symbolises the love for nature, sustainability and customer service in a way which is par excellence and rare these days. Where other resorts are out to extort money without providing value, Svasara sets the bar so high that I am worried I won't like any other jungle resorts now. The staff is extremely helpful and courteous and makes you feel at home. The naturalists working here are really knowledgable (especially Himanshu) and their passion for their work is endearing. The food is fantastic and their no liquor policy (though surprising at first) actually makes a lot of sense as the whole experience becomes untainted and simple. The safaris are well organised and the breakfast hamper is delicious, we dined like kings in the middle of the jungle! All in all, an amazing experience and needless to say I am heading back there soon.

Tadoba isn't as well known in Germany as Pench or Kanha, so I was a bit sceptical about it being included in a photographic tour of India. But it turned out to be the best park in Central India and Svasara was by far the best lodge, mainly because of its proximity to the gate and the wonderful naturalists it employs. I got to see tigers on 3 out of 5 safaris as well as sloth bears and the more plentiful animals and birds. The lodge is a lot more luxurious than I expected with nice big rooms and bathrooms and wonderful meals. I would love to go back and highly recommend Svasara.

Nice rooms. Europeanised Indian food is served in Lunch, dinner keep on changing. I enjoyed staying there. Only problems I faced was during meals the rotis were not served as per requirement ever after so many requests. Another thing was, no one came to pick few bags when we came back from Jungle Safari. We were damn tired and it was really painful to carry things to rooms. Place is good, food is good. Hope they make note of my comment.
