This resort is very near to the port and also to virgin island.
Our selected accomodation is not yet as good as we are expected especially bath room to pail to take a bath since shower drop a small amount of water door also broken.Sleeping comfort is not that good thiers a presence of mosquito even aircon is on.In terms of location this resort is very good since near to port,mj square and virgin island.

The resort location is perfect for us. Nice white sand and quiet beach front but the room rate is not suitable to the room that we stayed. The price of 4300 pesos per night is good for 6 persons is too expensive. The room has no fridge, no tv, no kettle the aircon is not that cold and has holes around the frame (see photo attached). The bathroom stinks with moldy shower curtain and no hot water shower. When we asked for a kettle they gave us a thermos filled with hot water but we got charged of 50 pesos.
Basically all you get for 4300 per night is dirty table outside, 2 double bed, pillows and towels, aircondition. And don't expect for a nice bed sheets.
Im just being honest here and would like to help others.

We reached the Beach Placid Resort at around 8pm on the 17th of April after a long 3-hrs land journey from Cebu City & ferry to the island. From the outside, I thought it would be a great Easter long weekend for the family. Since we opted for a beach front cottage and there were no vacancies, we brought 2-camp beds for the nanny & the maid servant, as well. 5-adults & 2-kids, aged 4 & 9.

The cottage we rented was offered at PHP4,000/day (roughly around AUD110). The price is usually doubled at this time since it’s Easter. There were 2-double beds, an old rusty refrigerator that you hardly can close, an airconditioner on the wall which is the only new appliance, an alcove that serves like a dressing room & of course, “the bathroom”.

The faucet on the basin is made of PVC & it’s not secured underneath, so it moves when you open/close the tap. There’s the toilet that doesn’t flush at all, the water heater that’s just a decoration on the wall and the shower area that had a big pail filled with water on the side with a dipper which is used to scoop up water from the pail which you can use to flush the toilet!

Not to mention the cockroaches & ants that abound “the bathroom” at night as the wall’s damp due to poor ventilation and there were those cracks on the wall.

We’ve been to a lot of resorts in the Philippines but Beach Placid is the worst ever accomodation we’ve come across with. Beware the owner of this resort doesn’t have an inkling of what she’s doing!

BTW, don’t even try the restaurant and be extra careful with the fixtures, the table I sat in had a rusted nail sticking from it. I told the waiter about it & he suggested that I move to another table. That afternoon I checked again and the nail hasn’t been removed at all!

Beautiful beach, it was really relaxing to enjoy island life and the staff was really friendly. The island is beautiful and placid is in a great location with a restaurant built in and other food places not too far away that are easy to get to

Room tip: Beach front is beautiful

Booked a place at Bantayan Island for 3 nights at Beach Placid Resort but only stayed for 1 night, i could not wait to get out of the place. I booked a beach front unit through Agoda but was so disappointed with the condition of the room. I couldn't recommend this place to anyone let alone to my friends.

Upon check in the receptionist gave us a beach front room 9, aircon was so noisy, no one could have slept in that room with the noise, the toilet lid is broken, the sink is leaking water, the ceiling is moldy, so we asked if we can see other rooms and if we can be transferred, they let us moved to room 10 next door, it's a little bit better but it's still not acceptable, the only good thing about it is the bed, it is comfy.

We checked out the next morning and the receptionist asked why we are checking out since we have 2 more nights, i told them what was wrong. She then told me the price of their units as if to say i shouldn't complain since i got it cheap thru Agoda, i told her, the room is not worth their price.

I don't mind paying a bit more if the place deserves it. I don't know why Agoda is even promoting it. it is not a good resort, do not book this place.

Room tip: do not book the beach front units

I have stayed at Beach Placid before, several years ago. The island has changed a lot since then, but I was really happy to be back there. I met the owner, Jo-an, eight years ago whilst staying there and she is still as kind and helpful today as she was back then.

We were unlucky that we arrived the night of a fairly big storm so the water took a couple of days to clear up, during which time we visited other beaches around the island just to see if they had been affected the same way. Paradise Beach was nice for a day of swimming but asides from that we really did have the best swimming spot on the island and as for a place to stay, we really didn't see anywhere else that offered us a better option.

We stayed at Beach Placid for a week and enjoyed breakfast on the beach every day and lazy days lounging around or walking around nearby Santa Fe town.

Thanks, Bantayan, for another wonderful week. We might see you again sometime!

Room tip: The best thing is really to look at the rooms when you get there. I think they're all fine, we chose beach side.
