Spent the weekend at Stoke by Naylands for my birthday and my daughters hen party. Stayed in the lodges 'Worcester and Pearmain'. Very well appointed accomodation - fridge, freezer, oven, hob, microwave, TV, a welcome pack and toiletries included. Lovely decking outside with table and chairs. Bed linen good quality - TVs in bedrooms.
Had a wonderful facial and massage on the Friday, very thorough and relaxing. Went in the pool area enjoyed the jacuzzi, steam room and sanarium then had a swim in the pool. Changing area had plenty of clean fluffy towels, showers had liquid soap for washing and bottles of moisturiser next to the sinks. Lockers need a returnable £1 coin.
Bars and eateries well staffed with helpful friendly people. Food - a good choice from a quick snack to a full dinner. The area is beautiful with some pretty country cottages and scenic countryside nearby. A helpful folder is on the table showing areas of interest and giving a short history of the location. Although we didnt play golf it is obviously a well respected course and players are well catered for.
The staff were so helpful from finding somewhere for us to store our luggage, to accomodating 16 people for dinner at one table. Also there is a minibus to take you from the hotel to the lodge which is about half a mile away.

Slightly pricy but lovely concept of lakeside lodges beside a golf course and next to hotel and spa. Externally the verandas were in need of a bit of TLC but overall a lovely place to relax for a few days.
The swimming pool area is a bit dated but spa has a good range of treatments using high quality products.
Menu is excellent and for a special event they can send one of their chefs to cater in your lodge.
Need to ensure you shop before you arrive if self catering, however, as hotel shop doesn't stock much

We stayed in one of the lodges. They are very spacious and comfortable. The drivers who took us backwards and forwards in the minibus were excellent. We had lovely treatments in the spa, some of the group went swimming, the sauna was a favourite. We were staying for two days to celebrate my 70th birthday. We had a meal for a large group in the Lakes Restaurant. I was disappointed that when we went in nobody greeted us. We sat without anyone coming near for quite a while. As we booked for 6.30 I thought we would be served fairly soon after but there was quite a delay. I realise they were busy but I feel it could have been handled better. When I asked whether we would be served soon I felt the waitress was a bit rude. Once service started it was fine. The food was tasty but not amazing, the wine, a Malbec, was lovely. The children's meals were excellent, in fact some of us wished we had chosen from the kid's menu. The glitch about the service did not ruin our experience. It was a lovely break in very pretty surroundings.

Would highly recommend these lodges, perfect escape with a brilliant porter service. The lodges have everything you could need from a stocked kitchen to extra bedding, and are very luxurious. Our porter Liam was great, nothing was too much trouble and he ferried us back and forth to the hotel in many occasions. He really made our stay. We will be back very soon.

We've just got back from another weekend break at the stoke by Nayland lodges. Nothing but great things to say about the whole thing. The lodges are a home away from home with everything you could need, and the porter service made it perfect! Our porter Liam could not do enough for us and definitely made the weekend in our opinion. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Would recommend the lodges 100% and we will be back soon for sure.
