Oops forgot to take a picture of our food! Cos it was truly homemade, tasty and we were hungry.

Friendly service, tidy yet traditional dining room. Not the cheapest but worth the £ or so premium for a lovely meal.
Garden looks nice if weather allows.
Only pub in town but a good one.

At last we have a pub in the village where we can take friends and family and be certain that the food will be dependably good. The new management team seems to be on track. I have visited 3 times since Christmas and each time the food has been excellent. The secret is of course is to do the basics well and to forget about any gastro stuff which so often falls low of the mark.
Despite the menu being a little limited due to the adverse weather and lack of deliveries our party was happy with their meals. I especially like that the carrots are crunchy and not overcooked mush.
We hope to return soon and try some of the specials.

Thank you very much for your kind words, we have recently updated our menu and added some pub classic dishes including homemade scotch eggs using the Aylesbury duck eggs which are in the farm next door to us served with homemade piccalilli .
Kind regards
Wayne.

Just popped out to our lovely local after a busy day for a carvery, just £5 on a Monday and Tuesday. tonight's meat being roast pork (with crackling) and roast turkey, both cooked to perfection. The vegetables were cooked to a delicious slight crunch, with a huge home cooked fluffy Yorkshire pud, gravy and selection of condiments. Everything hot, fresh and totally enjoyable. Washed down with a couple of spritza's perfect end to the day

I’ve just left this pub, my chair is probably still warm. Me and the boyfriend were driving through looking for a pub to pick up some fries. Nothing elaborate, just a little snack.
We ordered the chilli con carne and triple cooked wedges, they did a small appetite version which we thought we’d share - just to fill the hole.
My god. MY GOD! We were fighting forks. Rich sticky chilli and wedges that were deep dark brown delicious heaven jesus.
The only disappointment was this is an hour drive away from us
We will make the pilgrimage back!
Though on the way out we saw signs for “new menu coming soon”
Please don’t take the chilli away from us!

Thank you very much for the glowing review, I can assure you the Chili con carne will be staying on the menu, it is a south american recipe which is cooked virtually all day. We have added 2 additions to the dish, tortilla chips for dipping and sour cream. We have added some classic pub dishes as well so come on down and try some! hope to see you again soon.
Kind regards
Wayne

We visited the Churchill Arms on New Year's Eve for lunch, we had the carvery, one of which was veggie. The food was fab, very reasonably priced. The beer was going down so well we decided to stay for the entire evening, there was a very enjoyable quiz, the winning team got to choose a charity to donate the prize money to, Shelter had a donation of £70. We went back on New Year's Day for breakfast, which was also delicious. The Landlord and Landlady were very welcoming, all the staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Hopefully we will be back very soon! Thank you! Xxx

Thank you very much for the kind words, glad you enjoyed our carvery and breakfast! Our quizzes are going to be monthly, the next one is Thursday 5th April starting at 8.30pm, booking is essential as the last 2 quizzes we were full to capacity.
Kind regards
Wayne
