Nice lady who runs the hotel, nice locals who stay.
Hotel itself looks nice to stay.
Camping wise it’s badically the side garden with enough room for 3 or 4 tents max (single man tents).
Drinking water was inside the pub so not readily accessible but I think the taps in the bathroom may well have been drinking water although no sign to say so.
Pub wise the locals and staff where lovely, invited us in lots of times but also left us to our own relaxation

Just off the main A483 now that the bypass has been put in on a quite road. Very adequate for our needs given that there was 7 of us.Good parking. Owners obviously working hard to keep the hotel functional, although a little tired and lacking that country pub feel it was ok.. Landlord Rob went out of his way to bring in some extra Guinness after barrel ran dry before leaving to play a gig! Limited range of draught beer but plenty of bottled stuff which suggests it is not a Pub. (Good Pub down the road has unfortunately closed down which could help this Hotel.Landlady couldnt do enough for us. Waiting on guy pleasant chap who served us well ..appreciated. Breakfast and Evening meals were filling and pub quality . Tea and coffee biscuits and nice bottle of sparkling water in room. Ensuite adequate. Only niggle was mattress was uncomfortable for me...but i am spoilt with a memory foam at home. Top marks to landlady for putting up with an occasionally noisy bunch of fisherman.

Stayed here for a couple of nights whilst attending a wedding at nearby Rowton Castle. Very welcoming and extremely pleasant couple Karen and Rob, nothing too much trouble. Excellent breakfast and lovely evening meal, no noise at night and great sleep. We will be back to walk some of the Offa's Dyke and will be disappointed if we cannot get in!
Also, recommended "Chis's cabs" an excellent local service.

Room Tip: top floor is very quiet

Clean, well furnished and friendly hotel. I would stay here again. Breakfast was right in content and quality. They cooked for me a special and very good vegetarian meal! The swas taff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is just on the Offa's Dyke path.

Walking Offa's Dyke and arriving here with tired feet, I was not disappointed. Outstanding organisation, very friendly welcome. Wifi in shared areas. Room was clean, modern and comfortable. Wonderful evening meal and breakfast. As I was travelling solo, it was nice to chat to staff and other customers in the friendly bar. I will be booking here again if I'm in the area.
