We made a lunch booking at this restaurant based on the excellent Tripadvisor reviews.

We hired a car at the ferry terminal and drove directly to this restaurant.

Beautiful setting overlooking the vineyards.

As we had a big breakfast at the hotel we just ordered some tapas.

We had the Hauraki Snapper Croquettes, Harissa Saiuteed Prawn and Squid and my wife had the plump and fresh local oysters called Te Matuku.

I had a local beer called Hallertau.

Meals service and setting couldn't be faulted.

From the moment we were greeted at the door by Orlando, to returning the following day to buy wine, nothing was too much trouble, and food and wine sensations still linger on.
The wines were more than a pleasant surprise, they were outstanding, the Rose, Syrah Viognier, and the Madam Rouge (gorgeously luscious) were outstanding. Matched by the food, you would struggle to find more flavoursome taste sensations, particularly the beef cheeks and the lamb racks.
Our waiter, was friendly, courteous and extremely informative. And, the owner makes the best bread. Wow!
Thankyou for a wonderful night of food and wine memories. Ian

As always Casita Moro was outstanding. From a warm welcome by Cat, to excellent table service (including a little dry sherry), and amazing food (the flavours we awesome). We're always impressed and again it did not fail to deliver. Recommended!

You have to book online and don't leave it to the last minute or you'll miss out on a real treat. We caught the local bus out to 7th Ave at Onetangi and ventured up around 180 steps before walking about 10 mins to the restaurant. The surroundings and Gaudi inspired outdoor bar was amazing. We totally recommend Cat"s rosemary poppy linseed focaccia bread (with the capsicum dip) and the to die for deep fried goats cheese with honey and almonds. Only flaw was the garlic vinegarette which overpowered the creamy fresh local Matuku oysters. The rose was also great dry and fresh. Casita Miro was the highlight of the four vineyards we visited!
