Pensao Big Game Maio offers accommodation with clean and colored rooms that are equipped with a TV + 8 channels, free Wi-Fi and all rooms have a balcony. The hotel is very comfortable and well maintained. Big Game Maio offers for each guest a personalized buffet breakfast that deserves my hat off! The restaurant serves Italian and local cuisine with very good food, always fresh and tasty products! Bravo Roberta & Filippo.
Very warm welcome from the management team Gilberto & Alan. A great kindness of the staff Felicidade, Liliana, Catiana, Solange etc.
Many services offered: quad/boat trips & fishing.
I will recommend this establishment to individual travelers particularly for its excellent value for money in Vila do Maio! Guests get more for their money compared to other properties in this city.
Surely, I will come back again and again!
Only downside: Lack of daily change of bath towels.

Room tip: Best view: rooms # 2, 3 & 4

Hotel Big Game is newly built some years ago. In the middle of main street. Don’t be afraid of traffoc noise because Maio nearly has no traffic.
Owners of the hotel are 2 or 3 (you’ll never know...) very friendly and helpfull Italian families from Romini. So you know that the kitchen also is Italian.
Rooms are very nice! Clean, with fridge, tv, airco, separate bathroom. Everything is working well.
The rooms are painted nice. If you prefer a room not streetside ask for rooms 5, 6 7 8 or 9.
Rooms 2 3 4 have a balcony on the streetside and are sunny from 13 - 18 hrs.
Breakfast is good: of course very good coffees but als freshly made sweets, fruit and bread.
I think Big Game is the best hotel in town!

Lovely meal!
Excellent carpaccio (serra fish) and lobster pasta. Both the serra and the lobster locally fished were perfect.
Probably the only retaurant here were you only need to bolo a table beforehand (and not the meal).
Will return.

The price is higher than other hotels with same services and same category without any reasonable reason (moreover Big Game isn't exactly in the village center!).
In the fridge we found out a bottle of water and 'couse there wasn't any price list we supposed it was a welcome gift, but in the end they charged for that bottle!
Our room had an entrance without any light and was difficult to see anything to operate on the safe box.
Next to the bed there weren't any night lights (only central light) so it was impossible for one to read if the other was sleeping.
On the balcony the light remained not working for the whole period.

Nice, bright rooms, cheerful decor, helpful staff. Good restaurant downstairs, again one of the best in town. Try for a room at the back, less noise. Pleasant balconies. They also do fishing trips, if that's yourchoice. Not much English spoken -so brush up your Italian!
