This B&B is run by an older American couple, Dan and Sandra. Sandra also runs the Jungle Spa next door, a non-profit offering massages by Mayan women from a nearby village. The setting is peaceful and you will awaken to the sounds of jungle birds in the morning. You will need a rental car if you stay here, as it is on the outskirts of town away from the beach. Also away from crowds and tourism. The highway divides Puerto Morelos into two parts, the touristy part and the local part. This property is on the outer edge of the local part. By staying there, we got to see the local side of town, hang out in the town square at dusk when all the locals are out walking, eat fried plantains and churros in the park, and find the best shirmp ceviche! The breakfast was good--eggs, toast, fruit...but I think the fruit may have not been a good idea for me...
