We had a group of 12 and did the snorkel and sandbar trip on the La Bonita Catamaran, which meant we had a private boat. It was by far the highlight of the trip for everyone! I messaged them about availability one week before our trip and received a reply an hour later detailing all of our options. Courteous, prompt, and professional all around. The crew tolerated our rowdy group and provided excellent service. You will not be disappointed!

We came back from our amazing trip form La Bonito's Catamaran and snorkelling trip. The Skipper Frankie and his crew were amazing. Saw lovely corals and fishes and it was my first time.
They made it so easy for me and throughly enjoyed it.

Arranged 8 PADI Scuba dives through Marina La Bonita whilst on a family holiday (2 adults both PADI master scuba divers and a 10 year old PADI Open Water).

We were staying at the Royalton and arranged everything in advance via email at home in the UK before we left. Communication with Maria was excellent. Once we’d decided on the package, we paid our deposit in advance via PayPal (balance by card on arrrival)

They even sorted all taxi transfers in advance ($12 return trip for the family of 2 adults and 1 child). Royalton was about 10min drive away. Cost would obvious vary with distance.

Although you can hire all the kit from them, we dive with all our own kit - we just hired weights and cylinders. Their cylinders have yoke valves and we are din and they didn’t have enough but they very quickly arranged to have enough cylinders for the duration of our dives. I would recommend letting them know if you need din valves in advance of your arrival.

Our instructor/guide Lucas Mendez was awesome! Friendly and knowledgeable. Our 10year old did his Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty whilst on hols and Lucas was excellent with him. Very patient and understanding.

We did 6 reef dives and 2 Cenote dives. Unfortunately our son was not old enough to dive the Cenote caverns (12 years or older and Advanced minimum). However Lucas took us for two dives around the open Cenote which was beautiful (real difference from the cold murky fresh water dives of the UK!).

The reef dives were lovely. The corals and fish life are as you would expect for the worlds second largest reef system. We were honoured to see a Hawksbill Turtle that was very curious about my husbands camera system.

They dive boat is small but in good condition. The captain and the boat assistant looked after everyone really well.

They have a little shop selling clothing and other merchandise. It was reasonably priced.

We heard of the "la Bonita" from a friend and decided we had to do it. So glad we did! Very nice upscale catamaran! Well take care of
The captain and the crew were experts on the water.
It is 6 couples, 12 people, max for this day. There was only the 6 of us! You get to snorkel, paddle board, kayak and chill on a sand bar. They even throw out a large floating deck for the ladies to get their tan on.
On the way back we even got to see a large sea turtle. Amazing to say the least. This is a must do!
