Friendly staff but room was freezing. It's middle of nowhere but ideal if stopping off motorway. Bar area was really nice had black sheep ale on tap which was good. Had a chocolate brownie too which was tasty. Would recommend it's a decent price at 63 quid too. Shower was really powerful

We booked the Deluxe Family Room. Its located right off the Motorway and its not too far from Bolsover Castle. The rooms we booked were at the lower tier of the hotel rooms that they had on offer and when we walked in it was….freezing!! With it being such a big room with small heaters we also wondered if it would ever get warm. The double bed was huge, whilst the sofa also doubled up as a double bed. The hotel does have its own taxi service that it uses which is handy. Be wary of the bar though as there are no prices on anything and its best to ask first because I suspect the barman just charges what he likes. Because of this I have marked the hotel down. A small glass of red wine, a pint of cider and packet of crisps….well that will be £11.50 sir!!

This place was nice and comfortable for a two night stay. All the staff were extremely friendly everything was clean and the room had everything you need for a short stay.

Hotel is in a convenient location with clumber park being very close by as well as bolsover, chesterfield and Mansfield and close to the peaks so something for everyone!

We ate in the hotel on Saturday and had a drink which was nice, it’s good to have the option of being able to stay in and have a drink. Good options on the menu and staff were very attentive.

We came off the m1 looking for somewhere to eat. After seeing the sign for Sunday carvery we thought we’d ride and have alook! Pulling into the car park with lots of vehicles off to the sides and not looking ever so pretty we almost drove off! I checked TripAdvisor and the reviews were good so reluctantly we parked up and went in! What a pleasant surprise..staff were extremely friendly and the carvery was delicious. Lots of it, meat lovely and homemade Yorkshire puddings. The decor was new and inviting plus clean.
Was absolutely delicious! Great find!!
