The best weekend away ever. I was proposed to their by my fiance and it was the most romantic setting that they set up for us! I will never forget it. Very relaxing and peaceful place with plenty to keep you busy!!! Love it!! If you want a place to escape reality this is the place to go!!

My partner (now fiance, after our stay!) took me to the Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat as a surprise for my birthday! Turns out he also had another surprise in mind, as he also proposed to me when we were there! We stayed in Cedar Lodge, the "private residence" on site, which is about 300 square metres of paradise! Luxury furnishings, including underfloor heated tiles in the enormous bathroom (massive walk-in shower and double spa bath), massive king bed and HD TV to add to the unique setting amongst the rainforest trees, with the only sounds coming from the private plunge pool and the singing birds. For the 'proposal, we had the "romantic package" including 100 candles, champagne, flowers, chocolates, the works. For a break away from it all, this cannot be beaten. The staff did everything they could to make our stay the most perfect, memorable one for us both.

Loved it, loved it, loved it.

Our villa was very private with beautiful canopy views over surrounding rainforest. Felt like we were sleeping in the most luxurious tent in the bush. It was very comfortable and had every thing we needed.

Parts of the room were quite old (bathroom and kitchen), but this didnt detract from our stay. Will be back, same time next year for my birthday (and probably the year after that too!).

We stayed just before the floods, which made crossing the several creeks to get there a little too exciting in our small 1 series BMW. But I guess it added to the adventure.

If you like the retreat style, then this place ticks the box.

We had a lovely two night stay at Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat. Staying in a Rainforest canopy bungalow which was spacious and well kept. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and there was a very high spec gas BBQ on the terrace.

Being totally surrounded by the sights and sounds of the rainforest was a fantastic experience.

The onsite rainforest tracks were a bit overgrown with the rock pools being fairly small but it had been dry for weeks before our arrival so this was probably just bad luck.

There are some fantastic nearby trails with stunning views.

6 stars.
Food - incredible.
Private luxury cabins overlooking the rainforest, with attention to detail, make this an ideal couple's retreat. The cabins themselves have everything you need apart from a laundry. We arrived to a temptingly laid out array of tea candles, wine, chocolates, bathrobes and slippers, and leapt into the spa bath. Naturally it overlooks spotlit rainforest with floor to ceiling windows, and you dry yourself on heatead towels.
Bushwalks - not just a stroll around someone's back garden - range from rambling to strenuous, with beautiful natural rockpools to cool off in afterwards.
The games room is very well stocked, free coffee, internet, insect repellent, walking sticks and mountain bikes.
The only downside was leaving.
