if you are travelling from Delhi then board one of the fast train to Manmad, which is an important junction, most trains stop there.

From Manmad one should travel 150 kilometres by road to Shani Shingnapur, first comes after 60 Kilometres of drive Shirdi Sai Baba Temple and than further 90 Kilometres is Shani Shingnapur, total journey takes about 4 hours by taxi.

Shani Shingnapur has the Great Shani Mandir, I had been to this Religious temple 4 times and this time it was with my younger brother Susheel Vaid and Nephew Prag Mehta, now the things had tremendously improved, the management of the Temple is Excellent, and now even females, childrens can perform prayers and can put the mustard oil in the 04 Stainless Steel Tanks that are made as Bath Tank for Shani God, the oil put by devotees is pumped through the motarised pump through the pipe on the Black Rock of Shani God to give Bath him bath all the time. Uniqueness of this place is that - No temple structure houses this Shani Shinnapur place of Shani God, there is only a simple platform on which stands the Rock which hundred of years ago came floting in the river at Shani Shingnapur and only the Uncle & Nephew(Mama & Bhanja) could lift it and brough it here and it was erected and since than this place became very popular, seeing itself is an overwhelming experience.

Now people can go in any color clothes and can perform puja(Prayer)

Before visiting the temple one should have a bath at the Bathing Rooms near and adjoining to the Shani Temple or can take Hotel room for WASH AND CHANGE after paying usual charges.

I will recommend one should bring his own Mustard oil or Shesham Oil in a sealed bottle from their home city shops as you are ensured that you are buying pure oil and it is not recycled, use the oil for giving bath to Shani God, the other usual things that are taken to the Shani Temple for prayer are Coconot, Black Cloth, Shani Yantra, Iron Nails, Agarbati, Leaves of Akara tree and its flower these are sold for app Rs 75 at the shops near the Shani Temple.

There are temples priests sitting opposite to the Shani Rock who can even do prayer for you while you sit with them on the platform opposite to the rock and can pay them small money say Rs 21or Rs 51.

In the temple before you exit the prasad is sold in packets @ Rs 10 and one can buy few packets for home the prasad is Coconut Burfi ( Cocunut sweet Desert), in case some one wants to donate money can be paid in the Office counter which is exempted from the Income Tax, do not forget to take receipt for the money you donate.

It takes app an hour to complete the Darshan & Prayer of Shani God.

Shani Shani Dham, Shingnapur is located in Ahmendnagar District of Maharashtra. Its a divine place and the land of Lord Shani. This place is said to have the blessings of Lord Shani hence far away from any theft or robbery threats as much that most of the houses there do not even have a door.

Those who believe in planets and astrology, Shani Shingnapur is definately not a destination to miss. The majestic black stone standing as the mighty Shani here looks a simple and merciful idol. The devotees from far and wide come here with all the devotion and offer their prayers to pacify Shani Maharaj. There is no fees charged and no rituals to be performed as such but offering oil to the idol is the most common thing devotees do to please Shani Dev. Beware of the shopkeepers who sell pooja samagri to the first timers for a large sum as much as 1150/- which includes horse nail etc to keep evil off. Saturdays and amavasyas here are very busy with thousands of people coming for the Darshan. Any other week day one can easily have a good darshan as long as one wants to stand.

Shani Dham, Shingnapur is located in Ahmendnagar District of Maharashtra. Its a divine place and the land of Lord Shani. This place is said to have the blessings of Lord Shani hence far away from any theft or robbery threats as much that most of the houses there do not even have a door. Few of them have only a curtain at the main entrances of the house. The temple gives you inner calm and sense of peace. The Idol of Lord Shani is kept on an elevated platform and continuously being poured of mustard oil from top. Its a must visit place if you are around or can take an easy detour while returning from Shirdi Sai Baba temple.

Shani Shinganapur is been located in Ahmednagar District of Maharashtra.
By road it is 38 km from Ahmednagar, 84 km from Aurangabad & 70 km from Shirdi.
Ahmednagar Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
Uniqueness of this place is that:-
1. No temple structure houses the Shanidev.
There is only a simple platform on which stands the swayambhu idol, in black stone & seeing itself is an overwhelming experience.
2. Houses here have no door- frames or locks on them for safety.
In fact it is not needed, as people believe it is the blessing of the god that no crime can occurs in this village.
Unlike other temples, devotees here can perform puja, abhishek & other religious rituals.
Shri Dattatraya Temple & the tomb of Sant Shri Udasi Baba are the nearby attractions.
To worship the Lord, devotees come from all over the world, even in a huge crowd there are no long queues & no waiting period.
Adequate facilities are available for Staying, bathing & cleansing for the devotees.
A word of suggestion:
Get down at Ghodegaon stop, which is on the highway of Ahmednagar Aurangabad road from where Shinganapur village is of 6 km & local transport, will help you to reach temple.
Carry only Sesame Oil which is the essentials things the Lord love to have it & see if you can take from home itself.
Take head bath & proceed in wet clothes (no need to purchase any specific cloth, prefer our unused own cloth or towels) to the platform where Shani Maharaj exists.
Women should offer their prayers without climbing the platform.
While receiving Darshan, we should be bare headed (without any cap or cloth on the head).
Don’t miss out:-
1. To visit on Shani Amavasya which is considered to be the most auspicious &
2. ‘Kakada Aarti' which is in the early morning from 4 a.m. to 5 a.m.
