This beautiful Villa in Tuscany is a gem. The views are amazing, the Villa is peaceful and serene and kept impeccable. The rooms are spacious with modern in suite baths and big comfortable beds that you don't usually get in Europe. The staff is amazing and friendly especially Daniella, Chef Andreas and Mathias. The meals are extrodinary and you do not want to miss any of Chef Andreas' dinners. The wine is outstanding. Chef also teaches a cooking class that is a must attend. The trip to their winery is also something that you do not want to miss. Livernano was the highlight of our trip to Tuscany.

This small bed and breakfast was amazing. We were a little hesitant to stay in a b and b. The website looked good, but not a guarantee. It is not possible for them to create a website to accurately portray how stunning this place is. So much better than we could ever have imagined. The room was beautiful. The bed was the best we had in Europe. And--- great wine. Super romantic and personal service. Very quite and cozy. Should have dedicated at least 5 days to the area. Really sad to leave after 2 days. Only advice is to get a little better directions than they provide on how to get there. The address does not take you there by GPS. Great dining as well in a very small and private dining area with maybe 5 tables. You do get a free wine tour and tasting in their winery. Don't miss it. Private tour and really fun.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Sangiovese room. I liked it because it has windows on 2 walls and so good ventilat...

We got married in Radda in August 2011 and had our reception for 65 guests at Livernano. It was absolutely amazing and everything was perfect for us.
Daniela and her team (particularly Andreas the chef and Mathias the head waiter) worked tirelessly and made sure we had everything we could wish for.
The food was outstanding, the wine (from Livernano itself) was excellent and the accommodation cannot be faulted. Some of our guests who stayed in other hotels nearby couldn't believe how beautiful Livernano was.
Thank you to everyone at Livernano who made our wedding such an amazing event, we shall be back to visit next year!

We were upgraded to a suite when we got there... I think that it was because we were on our honeymoon, but whatever the reason, it was AMAZING!!! The staff is excellent and it was by far one of the best BREAKFASTS we had during our entire trip to Italy. It is not widely known by looking at the website, but they have an amazing dinner service, it is served and especially cooked just for you and the small amount of guests with you. There is only one option for dinner each night and the menu is posted for guests at breakfast so you can decide if you want to dine there or try somewhere else. I recommend staying... the food was great! Also, they own two wineries, and give personalized wine tasting and tours of the operational side of the business. I learned so much and highly recommend... and the best part, FREE for guests! The views are 360 degrees around the entire hotel... and are amazing!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Livernano is a truly ancient place. It was first inhabited by Etruscans, whose culture reached its high-point in Tuscany over 2500 years ago, around 500BC. The hamlet was later occupied by the Romans, who gave it its name. Long after the cessation of Roman rule, Livernano served as a fortified border post during the interminable wars of the two great mediaeval city states in Tuscany, Siena and Florence. Our small, beautifully preserved Romanesque church dates back to the 11th century. In the 17th century, when the territorial wars between Siena and Florence had finally come to an end, Livernano turned into a quiet farming village. At the end of WWII, when the ancient system of share-cropping (mezzadria) was abandoned, Tuscany suffered grinding poverty. The beautiful countryside, tended by humans for millennia, became almost entirely depopulated. The last farmers left Livernano in 1953. The hamlet regained new life in 1990, when the complete restoration of the entire estate was begun. Today, Livernano is once again a working farm, producing fine wines, excellent olive oil and honey, vegetables and fruits. On 38 acres new vineyards were planted with 9 different grape varieties. In the ancient olive groves, new trees were planted and we now tend close to 1000 trees, all of native Italian varieties. The remaining 420 acres consist of beautiful mature woodland that surrounds the hamlet on all sides. Three houses have been completely redesigned and furnished with local antiques to accommodate guests. Although situated in splendid isolation amidst forests, vines and olive groves, Livernano is close to many local towns, historic sites, fine restaurants, and famous wineries. The shopping and cultural centres of Florence and Siena are only a short drive away. ... more   less
