My wife and I booked a winter break through Tui to Athena Royal Beach on an all inclusive basis. The hotel is very well located 1 Km south of Paphos town with direct access to the sea. There are very well maintained gardens and pools leading to the sea.
The hotel has excellent food and service is superb from very helpful and friendly staff. This is the first holiday and hotel in quite some time where we were completely satisfied. I have been back 3 days now and still feel relaxed.

Room Tip: You get what you pay for - choose sea view if you can.

Just returned from Athena royal beach hotel and what a fantastic time we had,the location was amazing, the staff were all very friendly and nothing was to much trouble for them. Our hotel room was beautiful with a side sea view which looked over the beautiful blue ocean.Food was absolutely gorgeous with so much choice and cooked to perfection. The grounds are out of this world with beautiful flower beds everywhere and kept so well, plenty of sunbeds all looked after by a really lovely guy called Georgi .We had a beautiful time here and for those who are going to stay ENJOY.

Room Tip: Talk to the staff they really like to have a conversation and you get to learn so much.

I went with my husband and 4 grown up children for our silver wedding anniversary for a week before Christmas. From the moment we arrived, at check in we were given fresh juice which after a long flight was very welcome, till we left i cannot fault anything. Our rooms were spotless and we had wine, fruit and a stocked soft drink mini bar. We also had robes and slippers which were great to wear to go to the sauna, pool and steam room.
The service was second to none. Food amazing and so much choice, nothing was too much trouble. The staff are excellent and very attentive and the hotel is stunning and in a great location on the beach. You can stroll along the promenade into paphos takes about 20 minutes. A taxi to the old town costs 10 euros and well worth it if you like to see the real Cyprus, handmade craft shops and meet the local people. There are alot of empty shops, but if you wander round you will find some fabulous locally made craft shops. Paphos harbour is a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by and a boat trip is a must. Bus service is good, buses run every 15 minutes outside the hotel and cost 1.50 euros each way.
It was very quiet when we visited which we loved. I will definitely be going back

This hotel is a disgrace!! The staff is awfully unfriendly and rude. The room service is uneatable, dry and not fresh. Very disappointing. Wer'e currently at the hotel and starving! Returned all the dood. It was dry and not fresh. Wont recommend it.

My daughter and I were fortunate enough to have a 9 day holiday in this wonderful hotel.
Our room was lovely with a sea view and we fell asleep every night to the sound of the waves on the beach.
The beds were huge and very comfortable so we had no trouble falling asleep at the end of a hectic day swimming and sunning ourselves.
The room itself was spacious and contained a refrigerator with cold drinks in , a coffee making machine, tea and coffee making facilities , hairdryer , iron and ironing board , four beach towels and four bathroom towels. We also had a balcony with table and chairs so we could sit outside.
The staff were almost without exception wonderful throughout our stay . Notably Iwona in the spa, Lusine who managed the restaurant and had a wonderful friendly bubbly personality and Georgi who kept all the outdoor facilities to a high standard and helped us set up our recliners and tables.
Lusine was so professional and efficient but so friendly you felt you had known her for years, a real credit to the hotel.
We were very impressed by the way the staff were so happy to help and go that extra mile . It made our stay very special.
My daughter is vegetarian and if there was nothing suitable for her to eat the chef happily made her fantastic omelettes .
My only slight criticism is that on our arrival day the reception staff were not very welcoming or friendly . However when we left David and Julia had taken over the reception desk . Both were very helpful and cheerful and sorted us out with loyalty cards and explained exactly how they worked .They also gave us good advice about when to visit in the future .
We will certainly have no hesitation in visiting the hotel again, hopefully soon!!
