This hotel is fabulous. We went for my 40th bday and could not have been happier. The grounds are lovely and the room was very comfortable especially the bed. Best part is the beach. The hotel gives you free snorkeling gear and there were turtles everyday.

My husband and I booked a Hawaii trip on a whim through Alissa at Trip Guy Travel (who I highly recommend!!). She gave us a few hotels to choose from and had clients who stayed at the Fairmont Orchid previously, so we went with it! To say we were happy with our selection would be an understatement. The hotel is absolutely stunning. After valeting our car, we walked in the lobby and immediately received a macadamia nut lei. So different! The hotel is pretty open air, so the view we walked into was breathtaking! Looking right out at the grounds/pool/ocean as the sun was getting lower in the sky pretty much made my jaw drop. Check in was a breeze and we were taken to our room. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The bathrooms are enormous for a hotel bathroom, and include a stall shower and tub, with double sinks. We added the breakfast buffet to our reservation and I can honestly say I enjoyed breakfast every day. Due to the activities we had planned, we were at breakfast by 6:30am every day. We loved the spread and enjoyed our breakfast on the patio every day. We rented a cabana for our first full day at the hotel and it was another great decision on our part. The pool and beach were maintained beautifully. The service at the hotel was prompt. The restaurants were exceptional. Brown's Beach House was one of the most delicious meals I've had in a while! We scheduled our dinner for just before sunset and we had the perfect view of the sun setting on the horizon. I can not say enough good things about this hotel and the staff. My husband and I are hoping to come back as soon as we can!
