The new menu @€12.90 has a choice of 8 starters,8 mains and 8 desserts with choices and tastes for everyone.
We had tomato, aubergine and shaved manchego as one starter and chicken canaloni as the otther, both larege potions of real home food-no boil in the bag here. Our mains were a "tuna burger" (super) and grilled baby chicken with roasties. Our Pud choice was a lemon sorbet in cava and white chocolate dessert with fruit coollis.. Empty plates all round with similar on all adjacent tables with different choices off the big menu.
Our bill, with a bottle oh house Torres was €37.
Do note-closed Mondays and although officially they open at 19.30 other nights they are a bit disorganised and they are not ready for you till 19.50 but do book as there are only 20 covers and on our visit 4 tables were pre booked.
Service is fine, not as slick as in the old days as there is only one order taker/bar person/server and clearer but the food really makes up for all of that.
Do go-it is so different from the tourist restaurants serving up the same old fare and the servings, flavours. and seasoning makes it something special.
(6'9 closed briefly in May and the original chef moved to a new opening in Lloret because of the longer season. His number.2 has now taken over here in Tossa and reopened. If anything, the new menu is tastier, with a more complex level of flavours, and in our opinion a great improvement. Service is not slick but it is the food that matters)
