The historian tall ship build in 1860 and still maintained by using genuine material and methods.
Visit the royal salons, experience the cannon be fired and imagine your self onboard a going aloft - you can do it. The experience is great and secure - go for it!

This is a very enjoyable visit, marred only by the presence of mannequins in the ship - none of which add anything to the experience. The ship itself is much bigger than it appears when viewed from the street and you can explore each of the decks. They have installed a lift anf there is a ramp access to get on board so it is quite accessible. The museum attached is also very informative and includes a fun interactive recreattion of what it was like to be part of the gun crew of the ship. Definitely worth visitign but please, please lose the mannequins. They make the whole experience seem quite dated and add nothing.

Following a visit to the USS Constitution in Boston a year ago, and not being anywhere close to approaching the ship plus a mediocre museum, this was amazing.

The museum itself is cool, interactive and... Not overwhelming.

Then, the ship! The longest wooden ship... Restored and feels ready to sail. This is the real thing! A real war ship. A real royal ship.

The dry dock allowed seeing every detail of it from the propeller through to the royal quarters.

We got a family ticket for two adults and two kids up to 11. A ticket combo we never see in Denmark. It cost 330. And we got 20% discount for both the glass museum and the nearby safari park.

Highly recommended

The ship itself is impressive and very well kept. You can spend hours walking around it. Sometimes there are entertaining arrangements or the possibility of buying food like they made it on the ship when it was operational - check the time table. Great interactive museum in the building - good fun for all ages. There is also a vast souvenir shop with lots of decorating art and crafts. Note: It's not recommended to eat at the very poor and expensive restaurant next to the ship. Service is terrible (kids that don't know anything), food is not home made and prices are steep - walk 5 minutes uptown instead to restaurant "Mellem Jyder" or another place in the old part of Ebeltoft.

In the harbour of Ebeltoft in a huge dock, lies the tallship Jylland. It is an extraordinary ship, both in terms of good conditions, the size and the exciting history of it. Here you can see the royal cabins, the smaller cabins for the ship's crew as well as the huge deck. You can also climb the masts. You can walk around the ship inside and outside and it's just a fantastic piece of danish craftmanship.
