It is a very good temple. On entering the sanctum sanctorum of Lord Siva automatically we feel the holiness of lord siva. Lord Brahma and Vishnu are behind siva lingam. Unlike most of south indian temples, here is a provision of performing abhishekam to lord siva by the devotees theirselves with the help of temple pandits on payment of prescribbed fees. Even if we dont want to perform abhishekam the devotees are allowed to enter the garbha griha and touch lord, but without shirt and vest. Aarti in specific timings will be given in a grand manner. Monday aarti is to be seen. In Nights palak seva is also being performed. In the temple premises we can find lord hanuma also. There are seperate priests for each mandap. On every saturday the rush at hanuma is good and aarti in morning to hanuma on saturday is to be seen. There is navagraha mandapam also and the navagraha puja is special here. On payment of prescribed fee the priests guide us in performing puja to all navagrahas and it gives good satisfaction.Overall without visiting this Kanteswar temple the tour to nizamabad is incomplete.
