Friendly staff, would stay again

Stayed here 1 night as part of a package with afternoon tea and murder mystery dinner with Murder57. The Staff were very friendly, keen to ensure we had everything we needed and popped over evey now and then to check on us during our tea and saying hi in the corridors etc. Dinner was part of a fixed menu / pre order, chicken was tasty and hot. Reserved tables for breakfast as we were a large group, and food was replenished often even up to the time it was due to close. Rooms were decent size and bed comfy, but looked a little tired and due a refresh. Would stay again.

We stayed for a murder57 murder mystery evening for a 40th birthday as a group of nine of us. Friendly and helpful staff on reception were welcoming and the afternoon tea was tasty and enjoyable. Lovely room - great stay! Would highly recommend

Great stay and great food, staff were excellent, Tim in the restaurant was very attentive and tom on the bar was very professional. Check in and check out was fast and efficient. Had all the information about the hotel services in the room which was very helpful. would stay here again if in the area

Lovely hotel. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. I was greeted every morning when the staff walked past and everyone had a smile on their face.

I felt so at home and loved every minute of my stay. Thank you so much to all the team and I would be happy to stay again

A one-night stay at the Mercure Hotel, Tunbridge Wells was part of a gift package my wife and I received on our anniversary, and was the first time we had ever stayed at one of this chain's hotels.
Right from the start, I was impressed, not only with the building - it boasts a magnificent oast house style roof - but with the friendliness and efficiency of the staff.
Throughout our stay, the staff at reception, in the bar and restaurant , and the house service team were friendly, happy to help, and prepared to go that extra mile if need be to ensure we had a good stay.
Personally, I was sad we only had one night there, as it felt more like staying in the home of old friends, than as customers at a hotel.
Can't praise the staff enough.

Room tip: Go early to the hotel breakfast. It is excellent and very popular.

Room not cleaned, during a 3 days trip, id 2 nights 4 and 5 of september
I can understand the difficulty about the service room , because at 10h30 we still have the paper on the door 'we are slipping', but at 10;30..... only 10:30 when the documentation about the availibility of the room says' not before 3:00 PM. except paying 10 £ per hour before 3:00 PM.
When arriving, 10:oo PM , viewing this situation, the second night of september 5, I tried to call rthe reception: --> nobody to take the call...
When complaining at the reception, the person, a woman at 8:30 next day id september 6, , in front of me, didn' t seem to understand my remark and do ......nothing, Fully ignorance: NOT acceptable to a such 'chain', the main criteria to select an hotel, and book a room in this town.

Room tip: Try to avoid the road side, big trafiic and noice
