A Must Visit

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 15 Sept 2016
I met with Kevin Toth President of Golf Operations and a few other golf professionals. I noticed that there was a plane on the runway and asked about it. They told me that Ron Joyce was on the grounds. I personally did not have the opportunity to meet with him. When I later talked with the head pro, he told me that there were 175 people in Fox Harb'r that made everything run smooth and that went from the cleaning staff, garbage pickup to kitchen staff to golf attendants-and oh ya, a quasi air traffic controller who doubles as a mini van driver and minor aircraft caretaker. Everyone at the resort were just beyond nice. Everything is in walking distance and some even walked the golf course. The wind was very strong the 3 days I was there.
Now the condos are great and there is no tip to get this one vice that one...though I might add that the one that I had, I noticed that a top floor (ie one ending in 5) gave you a good view of the 10th fairway.
The meals were great and the presentation was always top rated. I have some pictures and it falls short of the great experience.

From left to right on the photo it was PO1 Joe Kiraly, Mike Feyko (PGA Teaching Pro and retired military), Kevin Toth president, Fox Harb'r Golf Resort & Spa, Elliott Isenor, Head Golf Professional/Director of Golf Operations (Not in the picture was Mike Clarke (Associate Golf Professional) and Devin DeBay (Associate Golf Professional)).

An exquisitely, peaceful setting contained within a gated community. The room accommodations were exceptional. Elegant, refined, and quiet. A+++. A most spectacular experience from accommodations to dining. Wish we had been able to spend two nights or more at Fox Harb'r Resort.

First time visitor to the Fox Harb'r Resort. Amazing experience from start to finish. Accommodations were first class and luxurious. Room decor is stunning and the added touches from heated floors and venting in the bathroom adds to the first-class experience. Amazing views from the balcony of the golf course and the Northumberland Strait. Only booked in for 1-night. As expected, grounds are immaculate. Guests can arrive by air or by sea, private runway and hanger, plus private area for boats, yachts, etc. Take the opportunity to explore the grounds and all the amenities the resort has to offer; in a word, amazing, No shortage of activities on site, something for everyone, Enjoy, enjoy!!!

I have wanted to visit this resort for years . Fortunately I had the opportunity to do so this week . I was not disappointed . This is a 5-star resort with excellent facilities - spa , pool , exercise room and a world class golf course . Fox Harbour has it all and then some . It even has a private airstrip capable of handling business jets . The accommodation is also 1st class - very , very comfortable . Two very good restaurants - one being fine dining and the other casual , pub style . The food we had at dinner was comparable to any fine dining restaurant - especially the rack of lamb . If I had to be critical of anything , the only suggestion we would offer is to work on the breakfast . As an example , my wife had French toast - it was made with store bought , thin sliced bread . I would have thought a place like this would bake their own breads or buy specialty bread . Also , I think they forgot to put the bread in the egg dip . Improving breakfast is the only suggestion I can offer . We will definitely return for another amazing experience .

Room tip: Room on the 2nd floor on the golf course - offers a great view of Prince Edward Island

If you are looking for a remote, peaceful setting with beautiful golf greens this is it! The grounds are very well maintained and the property is contained in a gated community. Highly recommend for golfers or others looking for relaxing accommodations. The outdoor café was great!

I recently had the opportunity to visit this resort for the first time. Knowing there was a spectacular golf course I had no idea that so much more existed. This a spectacular location right on the coast of Northumberland and truly a hidden gem. The accommodations I had was a beautiful 1 bedroom "condo" that was extremely well appointed with a living room and patio over looking the golf course. A magnificent massive bath room and a king bed that rivals any Fairmont I've ever stayed in. The casual bar offered great food including a "lobster roll" to die for. The main dinning room is elegant and not stuffy, reasonably priced for this level of quality, outstanding food and a world class wine list (the Halibut was to die for). Staff and service from check in to housekeeping, from golf to the bar or dinning room were efficient, professional and extremely friendly. I viewed all the facilities and could not believe all the options. World class sport shooting that accommodates any level of experience, fly fishing ponds, free bikes with lots of trails, gorgeous pool area, tennis courts and a fantastic spa. So even if you don't golf there is no shortage of things to keep you busy. As for the golf, it's worth every penny and best tip on this review is to golf in the afternoon. Mornings are busy but tee times are well spaced out but the afternoon means you can have the course to yourself. I went out at 2:30 pm on the Saturday and had no one ahead of me for at least 2 hrs prior and no one behind me. It enabled me to play 2 balls and while practising my game I was also able to enjoy the scenery at a leasuirely pace.

You may think you are lost driving out here but trust your GPS as this is truly a hidden gem. I'll be back next year with my with and friends!

Room tip: No bad room locations that I could see but second floor offers best views of the golf course.
