Good scenic place. Usually newly married visit for long photo shoot out for memorable wedding album. Must visit for persons interested in nature. With near by woods and lakes near by and tea plantations should be a tour worth remembering for a long time.

Its just a view point for those who do lot of trekking. It is just a few minute walk through the rock and it is not so high. It will be nice if you are not a regular trekker. But the rock will be slippery during rainy season. Leave the place before sunset if you are going with family because the place seems very lonely

Thangal Hill (Thangalpara) is one among the major attractions in Vagamon, Kerala. The place is reachable by jeep and it is a trekker's paradise. We have to travel through muddy road and then through rough rocky road to reach Thanagal hill. A distinct rock formation, sacred to the Muslims is located in the Thangal hill. In the lower part of the rock is a small masjid and from there we have to climb up the rock which is a tedious task. There are painted arrows showing the way and at the top a tapered pathway leads to the tomb. It is believed that the huge rock formation here was originally a small stone used by the saint to grind pan, which grew a great deal. We can see here the tomb of Sheikh Fariduddin, a Sufi saint from Afghanistan who lived and died here about 800 years ago. There is an ancient cave in this symbolic place and an adventurous and thrilling trail through the cave. .
