Nice place. You can get GMVN TRH here, where you can book your meal before going to the Falls, while returning you can relish your food.
Excellent place for a day visit while you are around Munsiyari. 125 feet waterfall makes you shiver even at a distance.
A must visit. It is on the way to Munsiyari. Some 30 km from it. If you are early then visit it enroute. You have to stop your vehicle on the way itself. There are very few basic stalls like tea, Butta etc. The falls are visible from a distant place. Its really awesome mammoth fall. One needs to go close to it to feel the size of it. It is a fall from around 400 ft and even during end of summer i.e. May we could get a beautiful view of the fall. In rains it must be huge. The road to Birthy falls is a climb through lots of cemented stairs. One can also rest in between though not a well maintained place. The road is through hills. One needs to walk for say 20-30 min (1km) to reach to the falls. After doing all sort of photography, keep aside your cameras and go close to the falls. Enjoy the water breeze and the droplets falling on your body (hopefully wind supports you in this). One can also get down to the flowing water of the falls, seat on stones and take bath in the waters. Be aware that you can swim and you have someone to help in case of incident in case you are planning to get down in water.
Birthi Fall is between Thal Munsiyari Road, excellent view specially during rain as then it looks like many Falls are coming down.
This is an excellent place for nature lovers. you can see the falls from highway about 5 kms away. Steps are made for trekking close tothe falls, and the place is full of trees & a natural beauty. The place is a home to many species of animals too. You have to trek till the falls and the falls is a paradise for nature lovers. After reaching near to the falls through almost half an hour of walking, we felt amazing when we were hearing the sound of the waterfalls, seeing the rush of water flowing from the mountains & feeling the cold air full of water droplets. On the way to Munsyari, Birthi water falls is a must see for all travellers.
I have been to this fall this march and truly it was a mesmerizing experience.. We been to the fall by trekking it was a 15 minutes track which was nicely marked ...other tourist were just seeing the fall from the highway ...but the true beauty is visible when you reach to the fall..it was safe and we took a bath over there ...water was freezing cold ...this place is not as common as others..dats why beauty is still maintained
