I had reserved the room in Bliss Hotel for stay of my parents-in-law from 25th to 27th December through make my trip. Due to their train arriving early, I had requested the makemytrip as well as hotel for early check-in. But due to the appalling way in which the hotel owner managed our request, and the very distressing way in which we were treated, we had to ultimately cancel the booking.
Just to mention, I had to cancel even despite the booking being non-refundable.
To all the persons who are planning to book in Bliss hotel, I would give you a forewarning here that if you ever have to deal with the Hotel management, you can expect a very disrespectful behavior and manner of engagement with his customers, and I’ll suggest you look out for other options in Somnath.

- At the time of doing the booking with makemytrip, I had opted for early check-in as a special request.
- As per Makemytrip voucher, I contacted the hotel on 20 Dec for placing this request. At that time, the owner told that we should call back on 24th december.
- On 24th december, when we contacted him, he was utterly rude and dismissive in even starting any conversation, let alone even considering accommodating any requested. When we provided our situation and asked any possibility/options, again he was totally dismissive, and what stood out here was the way he toned his conversation which seemed like he was doing a favour to us by giving a room. On being asked to be polite, he became even more volatile and aggressive. This was absolutely shocking for us.
Instead of being polite and accomodating, his response was of having blatant disregard for customer request. He commented time and again that we haven't bought his hotel, and his hotel is always full, so it doesn't matter if we come or not, and daring us to go cancel. He talked to my wife in a manner which was totally condescending and hung up the phone. When we called back, he told he's in a meeting and can't entertain any requests right now.
Now, we were feeling trapped since we had booked this inspite of being non-refundable, since our travel plans were fixed. But since my parents-in-law who’re travelling are senior citizens and sugar patients (and also having travelled by 2 flights & a train the previous day), we couldn't risk ruining their trip with bad experience here in this hotel.
This goes without saying that we've travelled to countless hotels all across India and abroad, but never have we faced such humiliating behavior and total contempt for the customer.
Inspite of me checking so much all through 24th December, the person was totally dismissive, and arrogant in talking to us, and humiliating instead.
We had to go ahead to cancel the booking, even if that means loosing booking money.
To all the future folks planning their visit here, be wary if you ever have to deal with hotel owner or management.
