We visited this pub as a large family of 11 people. We booked our table quite late but they still very accommodating for us. The food was absolutely lovely and the service from all members of staff was just amazing. This pub is also dog friendly although they are only allowed in the pub and garden area not the restaurant but that was fine with us as it was a nice day so we sat outside.

Not been here since it has been taken over.
Inside decor has been refreshed and looks great.
Wide food selection, tasty food, great friendly service
Outdoor areas both at roadside and out the back with a separate outdoor beer garden with space for kids

Fab food. Helpful staff. Ourfriend was disabled and staff were very helpful manoeuvring us through doors. Portion sizes were ample. Nice setting. We have visited there many times and never dissapointed. Loved the home made chutney .

There are many pubs around the area (originally from here) and whenever I'm home, this is the one to go to. Unfortunately it's lost it's old world charm, with all the decorations and ornaments now packed away, but the food is always consistently good. Great fish and gammon (my favourite) and there's always some great picks on the specials. Service is always very friendly and helpful, as many of the patrons are elderly. Off the beaten track, but if you're around make the effort.
