“Stunning B&B with terrific host, but tricky to get to”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 October 2011

This is a beautiful B&B in a lovely Villa set high on the hills above Camogli, with stunning views over the Ligurian coast. We had a large, beautifully furnished bedroom with a big bathroom containing a massive whirlpool bath. We had shared use of a lovely lounge, a kitchen, a dining room and a wonderful outdoor pool surrounded by olive groves and with clear views over the coast. Breakfast was the best we experienced on our trip – Giulia goes out early every morning to get fresh provisions and there was a fabulous choice of breads and pastries, fruit and yoghourt.
However this place is very difficult to find. We had to telephone Giulia who kindly came out to guide us up to the house. It turned out to be a very steep, narrow track and I wouldn’t have wanted to try the ascent in anything bigger than our Fiat Punto hire car. Which is a shame because Giulia is lovely and the accommodation is fabulous – but it’s certainly not a place for nervous drivers or their passengers!

The view, the house, the host, the dog, the breakfast, the pool, the hospitality and the location are great. The little villages around Camolgli are nice to visit and the beach in Camolgli is in September perfect for swimming and sun bathing. Try it!

My wife and I stayed with Giulia for 2 nights and she looked after us really well. She also laughed at my effort walking back up the hill after a few wines down in the village. Made us feel very comfortable and we loved the view and the room. Would love to go back. Thanks Giulia from Brian and Pam in New Zealand.

A little jewel hiding in the mountains and requiring a bit of driving skills to unveil itself (last few hundred meters are quite steep, narrow and bending - but one or two rides will give you the required confidence).

All the comments seen about Giulia are very true; she makes you feel at home from the very first moment. Another key asset of this place: waking up in this breathtaking scenery is just priceless.

This was a family trip with our 4-years old daughter and we all enjoyed it. After a day visiting the surroundings and facing the touristic crowd, we appreciated returning in this quiet place in the hills. Giulia was also of good advice when indicating interesting places, not necessarly found in touristic guides. Using the house's kitchen was also a very good point for us, considering that our daughter is not so found on Italian food. Morning's breakfast were also of very good quality, although quite constant.

If it was not for a room cleaning that could have been a little more regular, the place was worth a "perfect" note.

If you are considering this place, you will not be disappointed.

We stayed with Giulia for 2 nights and only wished that we could extend our stay.

She was kind enough to drive our car up along the crazy hilly roads of Camogli since we were not able to handle our powerless Twingo ourselves. Throughout our stay, we felt very much welcome and comfortable, we could freely use all the appliances and utensils we needed. Whenever needed, Giulia magicly appeared with a warm smile and provided help, but we also had all the privacy we needed, by the pool as well as in our room.

I wouldn't hesitate for a second if I had a chance to go back - with my parter or a bunch of friends.
