This is a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of "day tripper" Lindos. The beautiful house and its courtyard insulates you from the lively aspect of the locality but you might get woken up by the sound of the donkeys going to work!
The house itself is a work of art with its stonework, beamed ceiling , carpentry and amazing pebble mosaic floor, though that is rather unforgiving to bare feet.
Everything worked, most appreciated being the copious supply of hot water and the hardworking large, modern fridge. Air conditioning countered the extremely hot spell of weather.
The raised bed platforms could be a challenge if you are not very nimble, but everything was clean and comfortable in this traditional setting.
Within a short walk is a very friendly supermarket and across Lindos there is an array of eating places to suit everybody's taste. If you choose to self cater the kitchen is well equipped with all the necessary items.St Paul's Bay is a longer and at times steep walk away but well worth the tranquil location and safe swimming, but the main bay offers a livelier location.
A visit to the Acropolis is a must! We went in the morning to catch the opening time when it was cooler and there were only a few visitors...a photographer's dream.
If you want a quiet retreat from a busy location on a busy island but enjoy the history, architecture and quirky nature of the accommodation this house is recommended.I would have welcomed some written information about the history of this house and perhaps a basic map on arrival to help locate us until we had established our way around.

Beautiful, private, mosaic - floored villa ...peaches to welcome us , donkeys trotting to and from their work ( carrying tourists up to the Acropolis ...we walked ) and a fabulously hot sunny week ( air conditioning much appreciated) ...made this a lovely place to stay .
Villa spacious , large bedrooms, very well equipped kitchen and quiet courtyard .
It's hilly though -wear comfy footwear .
Enjoyed swimming and sunbathing at St Paul's Bay ...and watching processions of weddings at the little church there each afternoon.
Best restaurant - Caesars ...on way to Acroplois...but all meals good . Easy bus journey to Rhodes for bigger town and harbour.
