“Incredibly beautifully place”
Reviewed 19 February 2017

This place is a real gem, from the modern take on Rajasthani campaign tents, which are so well appointed and have everything you could want from a fantastic shower to hot water bottles in the bed. There are wonderful peaceful views over the lake from your outside seating area. The food is excellent and the staff knowledgeable and accommodating. The whole experience from start to finish was wonderful, our only regret was that we didn't book an extra night, so peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. A special thanks for the way they looked after our driver over night as well.

Room Tip: There are only 11 tents and they are only open October to March, so book early.

This is the benchmark whereby we will judge other places to stay. Beautifully put together - tasteful, spacious, discrete, calm and delicious food. The owners and staff are utterly charming and have pitched this just right. Can't recommend it more highly.

Room Tip: Make sure you stay more than one night - you'll regret it if you don't.

Perfect in itself, and as a beautiful, natural relief from the excitement of Varanasi, Jaipur, etc. Gorgeous tents with even more gorgeous views; fascinating outings for (respectful, unpatronising) village visits and birding (even for min-birders);fabulous, interesting, local food and the warmest of personalized welcomes from the owners and all the staff. Peaceful, beautiful, relaxing, energizing and fascinating. We wouldn't have changed a thing! And def needs (at least) two nights to savor

A complete contrast to the bustle of Jodhpur and Jaipur, this peaceful camp is a delight. The tents are luxuriously appointed and the food is delicious. This is a chance to totally destress. Guests are asked not to tip and beverages are included in the price so you can leave your money in your pocket.
The lake is host to a wonderful variety of birds and the scrub beyond has wild boar, antelope and peacocks. All can be enjoyed using the binoculars which are provided.
As the evening cooled I enjoyed drinks and a lovely dinner around a firepit. Later, returning to my tent, I found it toasty hot from two stoves and two hot water bottles in the bed. I slept wonderfully in the very comfortable bed and woke to the sunrise over the lake and the chatter of contented birds. Bliss

We felt like visiting royalty, where every whim was anticipated and attended to. From the beautifully appointed tents to the lovely, perfectly prepared meals, this is a place to relax and enjoy nature. Because the reservoir is one of the only water bodies in the area, all varieties of birds are attracted and thrive there. We took a bird walk in the evening with a guide who set up a telescope and made it easy to see even the shyest of the birds and animals. We stayed here in the middle of our trip, and the calm and quiet was a welcome respite from the chaos of the cities. I highly recommend a few days here to gather your thoughts and strength before plunging back into the cacophony of Jaipur or Jodhpur.
