I stayed at the Coppid Beach as I was over on a business trip. I found the hotel staff very friendly & helpful. The hotel room was nice & spacious, very clear with a nice bathroom. I had breakfast at the hotel & the food was fine. It was a slow service for breakfast, I feel they could have made it a lot quicker & this can be frustrating for business people as we are normally in a hurry in the mornings to head to meetings. Overall it was a good experience, I will stay there again.

We booked this for a girls night away! The hotel needs knocking down, it's delapadated, old and tired! The photos make it look so much better than it is! It was full of 80yr olds and there is NOTHING nearby! The hotel has NO atmosphere and have the nerve to charge £10 to get into the club even when staying at the hotel! The club and bar were also terrible, the band screamed into the microphone and couldn't sing at all!! The club had hard core dance music and was so loud our ears were ringing!! Drinks were overpriced and my friends Budweiser was 6mths OUT OF DATE! They also don't sell cocktails even though we kate says they do! Food in the restaurant was the best thing of our whole experience and so it should be as it was so expensive! Beds were ok! Rooms were dated, mini bar locked?? Bathroom was something from the 80's and filthy!!!
I would never visit this hotel again!! You've been warned!!

Dear Guest,

We appreciate you taking the time to write your review.

Looking at your booking, we can see it was made through a third party website and therefore we had no information with regard to why you were staying with us. We are currently implementing a planned programme of refurbishment throughout the whole hotel, with certain phases either completed or started. This of course will be a timely process but one that we can assure you is certainly underway. In terms of our photos, they are a true representation of the hotel as we manage the website ourselves and therefore we control the images that are shown at any given time. On the night you stayed with us, we had a mixed age group staying which is normal for any hotel, although we did have more of a younger age group due to events that were on at the hotel that weekend. The website clearly shows where we are located which is in a residential area and gives extensive information as to what’s nearby and what there is for guests to do whilst staying with us. We are also located only 5 minutes away from the fabulous new Lexicon complex which provides a variety of shops, bars and restaurants. We had a fantastic response to both the band and DJ this weekend, although we appreciate that music is very much a personal choice for everyone. We can assure you that all our drinks are priced competitively with other 4 star hotels in the surrounding area. In terms of your comment on the Budweiser, this was not out of date, the date that you’re referring to is the production date, whilst the expiry date is on the cap of the bottle and all of our Budweiser beer is within date, as we have now checked all our cellar stock. Whilst individual cocktails are not available in the Keller and Après Nightclub (due to the time element involved as we want to get guests served quickly and efficiently) we do offer cocktail jugs for guests to share between themselves. Alternatively if booked onto one of our Party and Pamper packages, cocktail making classes are included in the price, this may have been a suitable option for yourself and your friends. Thank you for the positive feedback regarding the food in the restaurant. We would appreciate specific feedback regarding the bathroom as our housekeeping team pride themselves on the level of cleanliness they provide throughout the whole hotel and we would like to investigate this further. We will ensure that your comments are fed back to all the relevant departments.

We hope that the above clarifies things for both yourself and future visitors to our hotel.

Kind Regards
Daniel Lawrence

My husband and I booked 2 nights at this hotel for our 10th wedding anniversary and stayed 29th and 30th September in room 256. The room was spacious and clean. We ate at the hotel restaurant on the Friday evening, the food was good and food at breakfast was fine.

However, on the Saturday evening the nightclub which is situated in the basement had a nineties night. The noise from this was extremely loud. Despite our room being on the first floor we could hear the words to every song and could even hear what the DJ was saying! The rooms appear to not be sound proofed at all and the double glazing is totally inadequate. The nightclub is open until 2:30am, but it got to 12:45pm and my husband and I had had enough. We packed our things and left. The man on reception asked if we had a problem to which we replied ‘yes, the noise’ (the noise was also booming in reception) and he advised that we should have said sooner as they could have moved us. This is a totally unacceptable response and there was no apology.

The noise from the nightclub could be heard from every part of the hotel, even in the lifts when the doors were shut. There is absolutely no excuse for this and we were not warned of the excess noise or of when it would finish. An absolute basic standard of any hotel is to ensure that it’s guests get a good nights sleep. It totally ruined our weekend away and I am just thankful that we live not too far away and we did not bring our young children with us. This is a party hotel and is NOT suitable for families or people wanting a quiet night away.

We stayed at the Coppid Beech for 2 nights while attending a wedding nearby. The hotel is an alpine/Swiss theme which is a bit unusual but it is an attractive building.
The whole place is very tired, you can tell it was once very impressive but it is well overdue a refurb. Having said that we had an enjoyable stay and our room was very comfortable.
The breakfast was very tasty and of good quality, our only small issue was that there was only scrambled egg available at breakfast.
All of the staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful and assisted us in arranging a taxi to the wedding venue. A nice hotel.

Dear Guest,

We would like to thank you for taking the time to leave us a review.

We are pleased to read that you had an overall great stay here with us at the Coppid Beech Hotel. We are glad you found the alpine themed design of the hotel interesting, as we are very uniquely styled and we do regularly get recognised for this. We appreciate your comments in terms of you feeling that we are ‘tired’ looking, although, we are pleased to inform you that we are in the process of implementing a planned programme of refurbishment throughout the whole hotel. This of course will be a timely process but one that we can assure you is certainly underway. It’s lovely to know that you found your bedroom comfortable and enjoyed our good quality breakfast. Regarding the selections of eggs at breakfast, our buffet does offer scrambled egg only but our chef is more than happy to make any type of cooked egg to order, as and when requested. It is particularly delightful to read that all staff you encountered during your stay were friendly and helpful, comments like these are very rewarding for all the team. We will be sure to pass on all your comments to all the relevant departments.

Thank you again and we look forward welcoming you back in the not too distant future.

The check in / check out was extremely well done, really efficient.

The hotel is getting a little tired but still nice. Room service food was plentiful but average.

Location is really convenient for Bracknell, would possibly stay here again.
