We were looking forward to visiting some very nice restaurants on Malta and, finally, we found the best of the bunch with this one. We had the four course surprise menu, trusting our instincts that they could deliver. Our starter was a slow cooked pig's cheek on a bed of cauliflower puree, which was delicious. The squid ink risotto with squid was not something I would ever pick out of a menu, but was very tasty and the lamb main was lovely. Accompanying wines were well chosen, except perhaps for a rather thin dessert wine served with a kind of zabaglione. Something richer would have matched better. Service was attentive and the waitress knew her stuff. Well done.
