Me and my girlfriend did a visit to Selma spa, and I must say that I am not impressed.
We have been visiting Selma city spa in Stockholm, which is very nice and have this relaxed atmosphere.

Selma spa in sunne does not. It's more of a fitness type of spa, with activities in the pool. At one time there was pumping music and an instructor that held some kind of group exercise in the pool.
Lots of kids that jumps in to the pool, yelling and also guests that uses the pool for doing swimming exercise in.

We have been to a number of different spas, and this one is sadly just average.

However the food is great, lots of the food are produced near the hotel, and the service is great.

We stayed in Selma Spa just before new years eve and had a very nice experience there.

The room:
- Spacious and had a beautiful view of the snow covered gardens and the lake.
- TV
- Sofa
- 2 single beds put together ( Comfortable but why 2 single beds?! )
- Clean toilets
- Cozy temperature
- No mini bar

The spa hotel is so long (side to side) that our room which was almost at the end felt like a kilometres' (Healthy) walk.

The spa:
- Indoor pool pretty big and great temperature.
- Outdoor pool was our favourite. imagine being inside lukewarm water and the head out experiencing the snow flakes from sky.
- Steam Sauna
- Scented and normal sauna
- Room with warm ceramic bench at 45 degrees C maybe (it Echoes inside :) )
- 2 x warm Bubble pool (Exciting but can be queue at peak times)
- Gym over looking the pool area
Tips : We avoided the peak times - 14:00 to 17:30 and 08:30 to 11:30. It has very less people before 08:00 and after 19:00.

Dinner (Vegetarian)
- Amazing mushroom soup and garden sallad
- Good Oomph Soya burger
- Yummy desert (Apple cake and chocolate-coffee mousse)
There were not many options for vegetarians . ( Hope you are listening Chef_Selma_spa :) )

Our friends told that the meat options which were many, tasted great too.

Breakfast :
- Top class tasty
- Don't miss the waffle ( Of course comes with a long Queue :D )

There is another bar/restaurant which is open at other times in case one becomes hungry at non lunch/Dinner times.

The spa hotel is in a good location with beautiful forest and lake around. Great for a walk at all times of the year.

The officials in the hotel are very polite and helpful.
There are not much negatives in this hotel (We are quite easy going) and definitely worth a visit.

Room tip: Rooms closer to reception or up in higher floors

Was there on business earlier in the month, second trip, finished up and had a very enjoyable half a dozen hours outside in the sun with a few beers. You can wander in and out of the restaurant which is both a la carte and buffet for every meal as far as I can see. Staff are hard working and nordic efficient, polite and culturally identikits, which is pleasant given the invasion of Europe by the entry level immigrants and young folk. Everybody speaks English, and probably a few other languages.

The bedrooms are odd triangles, or else I always end up in the roof space. Bathrooms are adequate, all fitted out in Scandi-noir, meaning dark with dark accoutrements.

It's a spa-conference hotel and as a spa-conference hotel, it delivers. It's obviously popular popular for concerences. The spa facilities are excellent. The food in the restaurant is good and the staff is friendly and helpful. But don't come expecting to find a rustic rural Värmland retreat!
