My wife decided to order 2 starters rather than a starter followed by a main course.
First starter was excellent and positive comments made to Front of House manager. Second starter (mussels) was a complete disaster. Apparently sauce was extremely weak and felt like the mussels had been boiled not steamed. I had standard fare of haddock & fat chips and that was fine.
FoH manager was very apologetic and offered alternatives. He was extremely courteous.
This was not the standard expected from The Shibden Mill Inn. Chef needs a bit of telling off. FoH manager needs commending.
