Nice to visit, well maintained gardens all around. Possibility to visit the place with kids, smaller dogs are also allowed. You can go through all the rooms and visit the several expositions at your own pace. Explanatory signs are available.

Really picturesque little castle! Very pretty garden leading up to a perfect little castle. Free parking out front of the chateau, €8 entry for adults which gets you into the chateau (including all 3 museums) and the wetlands on the other side of the car park. Castle was brilliant - favourite part was in the lower rooms which showed everyday life in the castle. A lot of taxidermy on the upper floors which may not be to everyone's likings, but also very interesting. You can buy food to feed the deers but they weren't easily accessible. The wetlands were small but very pretty, and would be very suitable to picnic lunching! However had one of the best lunches on our entire trip at the little cafe on the corner, just up the road from the chateau (croque Monsieur with mushrooms!)

There aren't a lot of castles in such a good condition that can be visited from the cellar to the roof, with deers in the garden. Each floor is a different museum, the least interesting is the one about nature in the area, with lot of stuffed animals. On your way to or from Brussels, a pleasant detour.

We went here with 3 kids of different ages and they all loved it. They could dress up and explore the different floors of the castle. We saw beautiful rooms, old tools and appliances and a nice collection of stuffed animals of the local fauna.
