Going from Haukland Beach to Uttakleiv Beach is a walk (~6km) that is worth doing. The views are amazing (like all of Lofoten) and the path is good, even in the winter (although I only recommend it if it is not snowing nor raining). There is a tunnel that connects both beaches also that can be done walking (there are reflective vests on both entries of the tunnel that can be used to pass the tunnel in a more safe way). The suggestion is go from one beach to the other, and return by the tunnel (way faster).

Maybe even more beautiful than the famous Haukland. Who knows? Reminds me of Scotland. Everything green and isolated!

I went to a couple of beaches and this is by far the best. Take the 826 and continue through the tunnel and follow the signs. Note that there is a fee for vehicles. 20 KR for a car, but for an unlimited time. I was there in the winter so space wasn't an issue, but can imagine it being a problem in the summer. Also a long trail near the beach to walk around the hills. Definitely recommend if you are in Lofoten.

We walked from Hautland beach car park which was a good distance. We had a picnic on Uttakleive which as places to sit with fire pits next to them. We took the shorter walk back through the tunnel (which was less icy!). Lovely day

We walked from Haukland beach carpark. If you have small children, a disability or a lot of kit you might want to drive through the tunnel to the dedicated car park. The beach is a mix of sand and rocky patches. Photographers spend hours here with good reason. Being on the north coast it is colder than southern Lofoton though.
