What a lovely place, so modern and fresh, the staff were just lovely. They allow dogs too and were very friendly and accommodating to that. We had a great lunch. We will definitely be back soon. We recommend the Manwich!!

Room Tip: Just went to the bar for food so not sure, sorry!

This is a busy local pub which serves good food. The restaurant was fully booked but the same food was available in the bar. The rooms are recently refurbished but being over the bar can be quite noisy, on this Saturday evening the noise did not die down until one o clock. Moblie signal was spasmodic.

4 of us went here for an evening meal over the Easter period. The dining area was very pleasant and the quality and price of the food and drink was quite acceptable. The place was very busy especially the bar area indeed it was heaving and although the dining area was great it was a bit of a battle to get through the crowd to the WC and to pay. The credit card machine was out of order which could have been problematic but we just about had enough cash. The car park is reasonable in size but not big enough when really busy and though some park on the Road the police have issued warning notices about this which are displayed in the premises. We will go there again but probably not a peak times

We visited the Queens for a family lunch on a Thursday afternoon (5 adults, a toddler, and a baby). The dining room is very spacious and ideal for families and couples alike. The hotel has recently been refurbished and all areas were bright and spotlessly clean.

The food was delicious and incredible value for what was obviously freshly cooked food made with quality ingredients. The options on the special menu were all very tempting and priced at £14.95 for 2 course and £16.95 for three. I enjoyed garlic mushrooms with pancetta in a creamy sauce and topped with melted cheese (served in a ramekin with toasted bread). This was followed by parsnip risotto topped with butterflied chicken breast. Finally an impressive white chocolate and blueberry cheesecake with apricot comport. Other stars on the menu: some of the best fish and chips ever eaten; steak pie; black pudding starter; and hot chocolate fondant puds.

There is plenty of parking and a secure children's play area at the rear (public access). The service was faultless and the children made to feel welcome. We will certainly be returning soon.
