A group of 6 of us went and went on the 6 man raft aka “the flip trip” oddly enough we didn’t flip lol we still had a lot of fun and would go back again. They had the Conor Mcgregor fight on in the bar the night before and we just camped on site. Tons of fun great for group parties.

We had a lot of fun with wilderness tours. I still think it's very expensive (as a European) but I must admitt you get a lot in return. It's an all inclusive formula: a nice camping and a lot of activities and the food is good as well. The rafting was also a lot of fun. We took the sports rafting for 6 persons but we had to share the boat with some kids and they couldn't paddle at all. I think our experience was less because of the bad combination of people. Our guide was awesome and he tried his best to get the most fun out of it although we were hindered by the children...If you pay this amount of money, it's best to try to find some other folks to join you. Otherwise you can do the classic one with 12, they do exactly the same route and there is a lot of atmosphere on that boat!
I would do it again immediatly but only if I know which other 5 people join me or just the classic one.

Was there with a group of families and our children's age varied from 6 -15. Everyone had a great time and we are going back next year for sure. Rafting was the main attraction by far but, there was never a moment where anyone was looking for something to do. Beaches, volleyball, basketball, hockey and so much more.
Great job guys!

We went on the Family Gentle Rafting Day Trip in August. My daughter (10) and son (12) really enjoyed the day rafting down the middle channel with our guide "Wolfie". We will go definitely go again next summer, this time with another family who were really excited after seeing the video of our trip. The leader and all the guides, while ensuring that everyone was safe throughout the trip, gave us all a wonderful experience. Our family particularly loved the rapids and the opportunity to go body surfing. My wife enjoyed the "Gentle" rafting even though she has been on numerous other trips with class 4 and 5 rapids in her younger days.

Thank you for taking time to review Wilderness Tours. We appreciate every response from our guests. We couldn't agree with your review more. Our family adventures are something very special you can do with your kids that you enjoy just as much as they do.

Your son next year is old enough to do our Teen Resident Kayak Camp! Hope to see you and your family back on the Ottawa River!

Matt

I have been here twice before (now three times) to enjoy the rafting; the guides are very friendly and have amazing skills! This time, I tried kayaking (first time)! The instructors are very patient, are understanding of each adult's challenges, and are terrific people. They break down each skill into smaller steps and most importantly make the adventure a lot of fun! Lau and Brooke were unbelievably helpful with great advice. The evenings were fun at the clubhouse and the live entertainment was an added bonus. I hope to return next summer :)
