Great music and food if you are up for the crowds and good times. The beef and Guiness stew’s broth is full flavored with large pub styled vegitalbes and tender meat. The half duck is crispy and comes with a thick loushouse orange sauce for dipping so you can control exactly how much you would like.

Doolin is a very small town with few choices. We had attempted to go to another pub nearby, but it was crowded and very noisy. So, we ended up here. The food was delicious! I had a lamb shank which was meaty and delicious, surrounded by vegetables in a rich gravy. It was so good! My husband opted for fish and chips. It was the first time in all our travels that it was not batter dipped, but encased in bread crumbs. It was a nice change and also very good. Service was great, the beer was cold. Fun venue. Music at night. Good choice in Doolin!

After a long day of hiking, we would hit this local gem for dinner. Every meal was delicious! Enjoyed a night of Irish music and beverages. It’s the real deal!

I was at McDermott's for dinner as part of a group of eight individuals. There was lively and beautiful traditional music and the place brimmed with energy. But when our orders were served, they only brought out seven dinners. My order had been "lost". Then they didn't do anything to expedite getting a meal for me. In the end, I wasn't served until 30 minutes after everyone else in our group. When my duck dinner was finally served, it wasn't very good. On balance, the rest of our group enjoyed their meals. So the lesson to be learned here is 1) avoid coming here in a large group, 2) stay away from the duck dinner.
