Just returned from this lovely little hotel after finding a great deal for bed breakfast and evening meal through my booking.com . Amazed to find we had been upgraded to a fantastic bedroom with four poster bed and a jacuzzi bath.Food was great ,plenty of choice for evening meal and huge portions. Disappointed that we were too full to try the desserts. Breakfast was tasty too with choice of vegetarian, Scottish breakfast or breakfast bap as well as cereals, toast, fruit and croissants .Nice to see they also catered for gluten and dairy free clients.
We are already planning our next trip and can’t wait to return .

Me and my wife got a deal on Wowcher for a 2 day break and we thoroughly recommend giving this hotel a visit. Rooms are pleasant and clean and the staff are pleasant and chatty. The hotel is a 5 minutes drive from the Gretna shopping outlet so it's the perfect place to unwind after a few hours shopping there. The meals are very tasty and filling and reasonably priced too. Nice wee bar area or if it's a nice day you can sit outside and relax. Plenty of parking areas and we will make a point of returning in the new year. Definitely value for money!!

Stayed as a party of 8 Friday night and then 16 Saturday night. Will definitely be back next year.
Rooms were clean, comfortable and certainly more than adequate. Had all the usual tea/coffee, toiletries as well as iron and ironing board. Fabulous upgrade to a four poster jacuzzi room for the family member who organised the affair was a nice touch.
Food both nights was excellent. We had booked a deal with £18 allowance per night for dinner. Plan on two courses as three is probably beyond most peoples capacity, portions are very generous. One or two small issues with steak temperature were fixed immediately and with minimal fuss. All this with two weddings taking place on the same day.
Both restaurant and bar staff were friendly and welcoming whilst still professional and courteous.
Just need to find a date we can all agree on for a return visit next year.

Stayed for a couple of days due to working locally. The location is ideal as it is just off the M6.

Hotel staff are friendly and helpful, and check in was easy. There’s plenty of parking onsite which is a bonus, although this wasn’t an issue as it seemed quiet during the stay.

The room was ok. A little tired but clean. The water pressure and temperature were a little inconsistent but this wasn’t a major issue.

Ate in on the first night. Had fish and chips,it was fine- nothing special but did the job.The price was on par for any bar etc,at about £12.Drinks were reasonably priced at £4 per pint.

Had an early start on the first morning and the hotel arranged a couple of breakfast rolls to go,which was a nice touch as breakfast didn’t start until 0730. On the second morning I had breakfast in and this was lovely -cooked breakfast and the usual selection of cereal, pastries, etc.

All in ok, for a couple of nights it was fine. Would I stay again? Maybe, but there is a lot of choice in the area.

We decided to stay for a couple of days in the Gables for our anniversary. The room was a bit dark, lots of dark wood and furnishings. We had a four poster bed with a large spa bath and large shower cubicle. The hotel was nice enough with friendly staff. Breakfast nice, decent choice. Ate in the hotel bar. The food was fine. I had Brie wedges with chilli sauce, really nice. My husband had the soup which was fine. I had gammon steak which was ok, maybe just a bit thick for my liking and my husband had the steak pie, but it was short crust pastry, different!
