“Great location”
Reviewed 9 October 2017 for a stay in September 2017

The warm and friendly welcome from Rupert & Franck was the start to a great holiday. The house is full of character and all rooms are furnished to a very high standard. The kitchen has everything you need, including by arrival wine, coffee, bread and homemade jam! We had our own private area in the garden with beautiful views and enjoyed the most spectacular sunsets you can imagine.
The surrounding countryside is superb. More than enough of period villages, castles and golfcourses. After a daytrip, a perfect place to come back to and read a good book (there are lots available) in absolute peace and quiet. Very good value for money.

“A* from start to finish'”
Reviewed 7 September 2017 for a stay in August 2017

Stylishly tasteful accommodation, comfortable & spotless! The thoughtful little things like an honesty bar, homemade jam, private chef, text the baker for fresh bread, croissants etc to arrive the very next morning! Rupert & Franck were so welcoming, relaxed and were ready to answer any questions if we had any.
Ideal location for a quiet, relaxed, chilled out holiday.
Well done Rupert & Franck for what you have achieved there!

“Perfection!”
Reviewed 18 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

If you are planning a holiday in the Dordogne region, look no further than Le Maz Le Mazet. This property meets all expectations you might have when looking for self contained accommodation.

The setting is likely the best in the area! Its peaceful with a stunning views across the fields. There are many Medieval villages a short drive away which offer some exception restaurant choices as well. Rupert and Franck are more than happy to recommend and make reservations.

Rupert and Franck have done an exceptional job in transforming this property where you can completely unwind by just enjoying the location or if you prefer getting out and about, there is plenty to see and do within short distances.

All that's needed is to turn up, unpack, relax and enjoy the complimentary basket of goodies the boys leave for you including a lovely bottle of wine from the local region.

Thank you Rupert and Franck for making our stay in the Dordogne a most memorable one. You should both be very proud of what you have achieved in the last 12 months.

Outstanding and 'highly recommended' is not a strong enough statement for this property. Just book it and find out for yourself.

“Perfect Romantic get away!”
Reviewed 13 May 2017 for a stay in October 2016

If you are looking for a perfect romantic get away, or a week with quality time your best friend in the beautiful hills of the Dordogne, look no further!
This house has everything you need, want, hope for and more and I am 100% sure you will love it.
The beds are amazing, with Egyptian cotton sheets, the kitchen is big and great and has everything you need for cooking long tastefull diners, there is fireplace, a sitting area where you can chill on a rainy day. You have various sitting areas where you can watch the sunset with a nice glass of wine:) Every time I am there, I do not want to leave.
The area is amazing, with romantic French middle age villages, the Kayaking on the river the Dordogne, the castles, the roads, its just everything.
It's heaven:)

“Highly recommended”
Reviewed 14 October 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We have just returned from a week at Le Mazet. Rupert and Franck have created the perfect relaxing base from which to explore the area. Le Mazet has been sympathetically renovated and tastefully decorated, providing a touch of luxury for guests. The kitchen is well equipped and the welcome hamper including home made jam and home grown walnuts typified their attention to detail.
Le Mazet is located in a peaceful location, away from the crowds with beautiful villages and walks a short drive away.
Rupert and Franck are happy to recommend local places to visit and eat and couldn't have been more helpful during our time there.
