Yet another fantastic long weekend away down in Clydey. Having visited on a number of occasions, the magic doesn’t disappear. Listening to the birds in the morning outside the window, without another sound to be heard, this is truly the best get away destination to forget about work and grinds of daily life. I can’t think of a better place to take our young children, aged 1 and 3. Soft play, indoor pool, park and visiting the animals each morning with farmer Rachel is just the perfect way to spend a weekend. To see the excitement on the kids faces when they get to feed the horses and alpacas is just brilliant. You feel totally safe and can let the kids run free. A visit to Llangrannog was a great way to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon too. We can’t wait for our next visit to Clydey. Gareth, Jane, Logan & Scarlett.

Everything was perfect here. The log burner, the indoor pool, the animals. There's nothing else that you would want. We had a lovely time. The hosts were so nice that they even posted back the scarf we left. Thanks so much.

We just absolutely love this place! After staying at Fron Fawr (the sister site) 4 years ago, our boys (not 5 and 6) did not stop talking about 'Farmer Malcolms' so we decided to splash out and stay at Clydey Cottages this time. Absolutely worth every penny and have no complaints. The place is fantastic for a family holiday if you have younger children. We feel that this may unfortunately be the last time our boys want to go as the eldest is now almost 7 although never say never. Each morning they were welcomed by the farmer (sometimes Farmer Rachel, sometime Farmer Malcolm) who have the patience of saints and make each and every child feel very special. There is lots to do in the area and we went out every day; although to be fair the kids would have been more than happy to stay on site all day. The cottages are fantastic, the facilities are amazing and we have some very happy young people after a great week away. Thanks everyone at Clydey for making our stay so special. Each and every one of you are brilliant!

Room Tip: We stayed at Heather Cottage, although all the cottages are great and everyone we met raved about the facilities.

We stayed at Clydey last week, in Tansy Cottage, with daughter and partner and our 22 month old granddaughter. It was great! Lovely setting, enhanced by light falls of snow, blue skies and (very cold) sunshine.Cottage was cosy and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. So nice not to have to cart all the baby equipment but to find it there on arrival. We loved the pool, the hot tub, enjoyed hot chocolate while Sophia played in the soft play room, and the beautiful local walks. We’d love to return sometime whilst we have grandchildren young enough to get the most from it. My abiding memory was of the little ones feeding the animals each morning, watching confidence grow and loving the carefully supervised regime!

I've lost count of the amount of times I've stayed here now (I may have even said that in my last review) and it is perfect every time. We stayed in Ivy Cottage again and loved it.

Perfect for families, couples or groups of friends. Great walks nearby, facilities for kids, a good pub a couple of miles away (The Nags Head) and lots to see and do in the area.

If you don't fancy a day out, the facilities on site are fantastic. There's a swimming pool, indoor hot tub, sauna, outdoor hot tub (great with a cheeky bottle of champagne or two) and a kids play area too. Or you can just snug down in front of your log burner, get cosy and hide from the rain - well, you are in Wales after all ;-)
