I had a really special stay at Living Heritage Koslanda, the property is set in a stunning location. We arrived very late at night but could already tell that we were in a very unique and special location. A huge thank you to our driver Viraj from Bernard Tours for getting us there!
The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. The infinity pool is one of the most impressive I saw on my trip around Sri Lanka, with fantastic scenery and a truly calming vibe.

Room tip: If you want to fully immerse yourself then the jungle rooms are incredible!

If you’re looking for peace and tranquility this is the ideal place for you. It’s an isolated are and very quiet in all ways. Infinity pool is just perfect & the views from the rooms are breathtaking. We just felt like we’re in a Paradise. The team here are second to none. They’re very friendly and helpful. Mr. Johnson always wears a smile on his face and pays equal attention to every guest. We really did enjoy every second at Living Heritage ❤️

A remarkable boutique hotel located in vicinity of Diyaluma falls build not many years ago with all amenities. Add some quality interior designing and architecture inspired by Giffrey Bawa style. 80 acres of private land with a private waterfall. Yes thats the cherry on the pie. Infinity pool is on the hills was another addition to the items you get at LHK. This hotel has 6 specious rooms. Not to mention the food they serve was amazingly delicious. Staff appeared to be from the local area and were very polite and genuine in what they do. A place that is highly recommended.

We stayed two nights in one of the luxury suits and we had an amazing stay. Have you ever been to a hotel that has a natural waterfall set in virgin rainforest? If no then this is the place. Every single thing about this place is so beautiful and dreamlike.

Rooms: The luxury villas are packaged with a breathtaking view of mountains, an inner court yard and a plunge pool. Spacious! We loved the room ambiance (quaint). The room accompanied with a terrace facing the mountains.

Food: Their western food was average I would say, but the Sri Lankan rice and curry are highly recommended. Loved it!

Pool: The best infinity pool we have come across in Sri Lanka and we loved everything about this pool. You have to walk quite a bit to arrive at the pool from the suits. However, it’s way closer to the forest pavilions.

Waterfall: You have to do a 20 mins of forest trekking to hunt the waterfall. Important: before you leave make sure you ask for leech socks and salt water from the hotel staff as there are lot of leeches in the forest and its very normal for a rainforest to have leeches. So nothing to complain if you follow above instructions. We bathe in the waterfall, it was safe and enjoyed every bit of our stay.

Staff: Mr. Johnson and his staff were excellent and took wonderful care of us. We were given a brief intro about the property by Mr Johnson and walked us to show around at our check in. We were given flower garlands at our arrival and a flower bouquet at our check out, and it was so nice of your staff to do so. We would like to thank your staff for making our stay a magical one!

We highly recommend Living Heritage Koslanda for a tranquil yet an amazing stay !

Dear Maneesha J

Thank you for your absolutely lovely review, It sounds as if you had a really terrific stay, and really appreciated the peace and tranquility of our location - good for taking the leeches in you stride - they are completely harmless, just a nuisance, and there are no leeches in the actually swimming pool under the waterfall, as the jungle leeches are land leeches and not water leeches.
I will pass on all the positive feedback to the staff and we really hope this will not b the first and last of your visit, as I think next time you should come and stay in our beautiful open air Forest Pavilions!

Thanks and best wishes

We stoped at Koslanda one night during our travel from north to south of Sri Lanka, we booked a deluxe room and upon arrival the manager upgraded to a suite.
But despite the tries of the manager and his team to make our stay memorable, our experience was not very good.

The hotel only had 1 deluxe room and 4 suites and other than a cycling guy overnighting there the hotel was empty and with nothing much to do or see. Our jacuzzi was empty and we didn't even bother filling it up as the water would be cold, the hot water sometimes stopped working, wifi was slow, no mosquito net on the bed (huge fail), lots of mosquitos, the movies available to see were outdated and the TV was so small that my smartphone had a bigger screen.

A positive note to the the pool was very beautiful( but very far from the rooms), and to the food, we had an excellent dinner. The service was ok.

We did had a memorable stay at Koslanda, but not for the best reasons. Since there was not much to do we decided to walk to the waterfall that belongs to the property that was described to us as very beautiful, And, although we were warned about "some" leeches, we were not prepared for what happened. They were not just "some" leeches, they were A LOT of leeches all the way to the waterfall. We did the hole 20 minute walk just trying to not catch any, and stoping to kill them with salt water when we found one climbing upon us. I ended up with one bitting me on my belly. To finish, the waterfall did not worth the painful walk.

As all of hotels in Sri Lanka the price was too high for what is offered, specially in this case.

There must be a lot of people that would love this kind of place, quiete, isolated, without anyone, and nothing to do. These are not us... Sorry.
