Just returned to Scotland after a wonderful holiday touring Ireland. The best hotel we stayed in, by far, was ARNOLDS HOTEL. We found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly, the rooms clean and the food excellent. The view from the dining room and our bedroom was amazing. Two members of staff suggested that we toured round Horn Head before leaving Dunfanaghy, and we are so glad we did..............the views were spectacular! We would have missed that if they hadn't been so helpful and informative, so thanks a million. Also took their advice to visit Glenveagh National Park, well worth the visit too. We will be back again to this lovely family run hotel, but next time for a longer stay!

This is a family run hotel. Although rated as 3* we were treated so very well. The Seascape restaurant is fantastic - I loved the seafood platter. Breakfast was freshly proper cooked - no tastless buffet here. Entertainment is put on every night and being keen music lovers we really enjoyed the musicians. The bedrooms are spotless and quite spacious - we had a super king size bed!!

When booking the restaurant and the seaview bedroom our emails were promptly answered. The staff are lovely.

We certainly recommend this hotel and can't wait to return.

Room Tip: Request a seaview room when booking direct or email the directly. Also book the restaurant in advan...

We stayed here in may 2011 so our daughter could horse ride with the attached stable. The hotel has a great atmosphere. Very comfortable. The fire was lite all the time. Our room was a little small but on the third day the red haired girl at reception (sorry never got her name) offered us a bigger room with great view. She said she felt bad that we were in one of the smaller rooms! This girl also spent ages talking with my wife about the best places to go for a walk in the surrounding areas. She really was great. The food in the place was also really good, we ate there every night. I should also mention the town, i think this is the freindliest place i've ever been! The only negative point was the weather but ill not blame the hotel.

We stayed at Arnolds Hotel for a week to do a horse riding trip at Dunfanaghy Stables. Arnolds is a small family-run hotel with an amazingly caring staff. Our room overlooked Sheephorn Bay, a lovely view. Dunfanaghy is a lovely little village in the north of Donegal, with a beautiful beach and golf course. Arnolds' restaurant is five star; they have a wonderful chef and feature fresh local ingredients every day. In the lobby, the warm fire in the hearth welcomed us back after each ride. The attached pub has live music and all your favorite beers. Mostly it's the people at Arnolds though; they took care of every special need and were genuinely interested in our enjoying ourselves. We would definitely return to Arnolds.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a bay view.
