Visited twice with a big family group, including small kids, once for coffee and cakes (and shelter from some rain) and then again for lunch.
Inside is nice and modern, food and service are good and it's in a great location just off the beach, with a terrace looking over the sand for nice days.
Lunch menu is decent and wide ranging. I had a nice burger and they were also very accommodating with the kids

We were in the bar part at the front of O Looneys on a Saturday night. there was a Hen party in the same night and had brought in chippers to the restaurant. The bar manager ( bald headed guy ) came over and politely asked the few from the group with the bag of chips would they mind eating them outside as they were not from the bar. She seemed to accept that and went outside but I since saw she has slatted the manager and his staff for how they treated her. I just wanted to say the staff were nothing but polite to her and the whole group. I wouldn't go by her review at all, Also the Pizza's................best pizzas you will get in Ireland and amazingly good value. Its a small wood oven and you could be waiting a few minutes for your pizza as it only seemed to take two at a time, but oh my is it worth the wait. So thin, and beautiful fresh ingredients. Served so simply on a tray. I looked around at one stage and every table in the place had a few Pizzas. Whoever brought the pizza into the bar, my hats off to you. I will be going back again and again, and again......

What amazing views! However the food is a bit of a let down! This restaurant could be open all year round and very busy for the view alone if they could get the food right! Had the fish and chips one night and it was beautiful so on my next visit decided to try it again and it was awful! Batter was soggy and watery ! What a pity, they need to be more consistent!

Ate today with family. Alot if staff most looked bored or idle we saw 2 smile. Staff appearance and personality could be better. Waited 10 mins before we were given the menu. Got steak which was ok. Only pizza is margarita don't do extra toppings. Pizza was nice lovely chips and goujons. Need code for toilet think that's to stop people coming from beach although 2 men came in with dressing gowns. Lovely views and can sit outside. Small improvements to customer service. Great kids menu and good value menu.
