Our room faced the first hole at the Cashen Course. It was beautiful. Both James and Mary were very attentive and helpful during our 5 days. Breakfast was always presented well, made to order and tasted great. The location is nice we enjoyed walking up to Ballybunion Country Club for cocktails and dinner with a great view of the 18th hole and the ocean. The accomodations were comfortable spacious and enjoyed the shower. A glass of wine in the living room was perfect after 18 holes in the wind. We would recommend staying here to anyone.

Room Tip: Room 1 had one of the best views of the golf course and very spacious with sitting area and fireplac...

Stayed two nights with James and Mary. Great to see there is still quality family run guesthouses with a country feel. Breakfast was freshly cooked and hearty. Rooms spacious and clean. Would recommend to anyone.

I don't normally write reviews but I felt the need to express what a great place the 19th lodge was to stay in last weekend while we were played golf in Ballybunion (right beside the golf course).

The service was excellent, room was great and the big fry up certainly hit the spot after a night out in the town.

I hope to get back there soon and would recommend to any golfer looking for a good place to stay before battling the course!

This is a very convenient place to stay for a visit to Ballybunion for golf. You can walk to the clubhouse and there are views of the Cashen course from the Lodge. But you are also in the Irish countryside with farming activity next door and you are in walking distance of the strand. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Jim and Mary go out of their way to make you feel at home and gave us a great dinner recommendation. They were accomodating to our needs and provided breakfast to a late arrival. They also provide internet access.

Room Tip: ask for a room with a view of the golf course.
