Lovely small hotel with friendly staff and such wonderful views of the ocean.
Pity we didn't get to dine in restaurant - the locals knew something we didn't as it was packed the night we stayed and we couldn't get table!

Room Tip: were advised to request 11 or 12 next time!

Stayed at this hotel last night ,was given this as a present from my sister so myself and my husband arrived yesterday to the best welcome we have ever got anywhere staff are fabulous very jolly and helpful, room was lovely very clean, dinner was gorgeous ,two courses and a lovely bottle of wine for 50 euros for the two of us again had agreat laugh with the staff as we had sat at a table that was reserved for someone else and the lady working there gave a right razing over it but it was all in jest which we really enjoyed ,would highly recommend a stay here , we saw no cobwebs or spiders lol and as for no tea or coffee facilities in the room we have stayed a good few times in hotels in france and got the bare bed in the room for twice the price of what you would pay for a room in The Promenade oh and what really made my day free wifi sad i know lol

We stayed in this hotel recently for two nights in two different rooms as we had only booked for one night on a groupon deal, but then decided to go a night early. Our first room was small but had a lovely view, however it had lots of cobwebs on the ceilings and a few spiders, the curtains were torn, duvet was stained and no tea and coffee making facilities. Our second room was nicer, bigger and again a fab view, but again, curtains were torn, table was all chipped, paint was peeling of the wall quite a bit either side of the bed and it was really difficult to get out of the bath/shower due to it's positioning. You definetly wouldn't want to be an older person trying to get out safely. No tea and coffee making facilities here either.
Breakfast was grand, groupon deal only included the continental and it was adequate but could have done with some fruit salad and orange juice. Full irish was nice. It just felt like the hotel needed a good clean, staff didn't ask how was our stay and if they had bothered, we would have expressed our disappointment about the things mentioned above. Now instead of letting them know and hoping it will improve, we will definitely not be returning.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my girlfriend and son. Lovely spot, just off the main street and very short walking distance from the famous Men's Beach.
Staff were lovely and friendly, very helpful and whenever we asked for any information they were well informed and willing to recommend plenty of choices to keep the little man entertained.
We ate dinner on one night and while we were informed that it wasn't the regular chef, the food was beautiful. Cooked perfectly, tender steak, succulent fish and the kids menu was fantastic. Full of choices and everyone we asked could something be changed there was no problem. Our server came over after dinner and we had a lovely conversation. Everything about this hotel is just lovely to see. Small and quaint, cosy and comfortable, excellent staff and amazing food.
Highly recommend it and we'll definitely be back! Thank you!

Stayed at this "hotel" as part of a Groupon offer which included a glass of wine on arrival and meal credit. There was no mention of the wine on arrival which we weren't bothered about this because we had a 9year old with us but the meal credit which have been handy as there was 3 of us. We arrived at about 2 but couldn't check in until 3 so walked around in the rain, ended up getting shelter in Supervalu as not many places were open. Got back to hotel wasn't told much information regarding breakfast and dinner times etc no mention of the meal credit. The room was small no tea or coffee making facilities but it was clean. Spent most of the evening listening to children next door screaming and fighting, the walls must be paper thin. The breakfast the next morning was very basic and I wouldn't part with €7 as the staff were rude. As we checked out the lady at desk( we presumed she owned it or was the manager as she was speaking about rosters with a member of staff) had her back turned to us and said can I help you and obviously I was checking out and all she ask for was payment or a voucher, there was no how was your stay. I found this very rude, there was no personal touch in this place. The location was good and the room was clean but that was all the positives I have !!!!!!
