“Superb, a MUST see if you're in Clare!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 April 2012 via mobile

The top notch reviews are all justified! This was a truly amazing experience. By turns thrilling, wonderous, funny and educational, a real treat, and a show and experience that is expertly delivered. For once, a fairly priced attraction that actually delivers way way more than it delivers. Congratulations and well done to all involved!

“The best part of our trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 April 2012

This was our absolute favorite part of our trip. We did the Hawk Walk, and it was totally worth the 70 euro each. It was something we'll never forget. Our guide (Colm, we think?) was great, and seemed to know everything you could about the Harris Hawks we were flying. This guy loves his job. He also ran the flight demonstration at the centre afterward, which was so much fun! Just being able to walk around and see the different birds they have there was a great time. We would do this again in a second. We're two adults and we had a blast, but it's perfect for children as well. Even flying the hawks seemed like a perfect family activity.

“Up close and personal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 April 2012

What a fantastic experience in the Birds Of Prey Centre. It was great to get so close to these magnificient Creatures. What an amazing afternoon. The handlers were brill and the way that they interacted with the children and adults was wonderful. Thank You Jamie and James. The afternoon walk to the woods was great and the woodcarvers were very helpful and wonderful at their craft. Thank you for my flowers, carved in seconds, and made my day. This is a wonderful day out for everybody, and of course the Burren is just a jewel in our landscape.

“Excellent live show”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 April 2012

Came down to the show and center from the Ailwee cave, and the inclusion of this on the combined family ticket to the caves really makes the ticket worthwhile. The show is excellent, well narrated, and the birds are incredibly well trained. A few volunteers from the audience were called up to put on the glove and have the raptors - owls, eagles etc. land on your hand and take food. The center does quite a bit of conservation work as well so you can feel good about the money you're spending here. When the birds are not involved in the show their enclosures are accessible. The woods trail from the Birds of Prey center to the caves is steep, but takes just a few minutes and is quite pleasant. This attraction is worth coming to if you can arrange to see one of the live shows - it really is the best part. Come early and use the time waiting for the show to see all the birds and read the exhibits.

“Really Interesting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 April 2012

We recently visited the Birds of Prey center, on our way back to our hotel from the Cliffs of Moher. We were glad we made the trip. The birds were fascinating and the workers were very knowledgeable about the birds. My favorite part of the experience, however, was watching the birds in action. We got to see an eagle, a falcon, and an owl in flight. They are such beautiful creatures and to see them in action was amazing. Just sorry we weren't there for the Hawk Walk.
