A very pleasant stay

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 11 Jul 2024
We stayed here for two nights at beginning of July as we had a family wedding across the road in Kilruddery House - the hotel is in an excellent location - free parking and nice quiet area. The staff were very friendly (I cannot understand some of the reviews saying they were rude) and couldn't do enough for you. Rooms were comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and food was replenished quickly. It is not a 5 star but a 3 star and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Bray area.

We were a group of 18 getting together from all over Ireland and Northern Ireland for a reunion after 60+ years of being pupils at a nearby Boarding School and chose The Wilton because of its proximity to the school. It was a perfect choice. On enquiring initially about the possibility of a group of us making such a booking, I was assured that we would be made very welcome and that's exactly what happened. The hotel was easy to reach and in a quiet, picturesque location. There was ample, secure parking. Rooms well-appointed with the usual facilities; safe, kettle and tea/coffee sachets, television, shower & bath, soap & gels, hair-dryer etc. The staff also were able to re-arrange tables for an evening meal as a group. Super buffet-breakfast. All-in-all, I was very impressed by the professionalism, courtesy and friendliness of the staff. If we have any future reunions, or should I decide to visit the area with my wife, I would very definitely and without any doubt whatsoever, choose the Wilton. A big thank you!

My husband and I have just spent four nights at the Wilton Hotel, Bray, and were delighted with the experience. The hotel is situated just outside the centre of Bray in a very convenient location and opposite the entrance to Killruddery House and Gardens which is well worth a visit. The hotel itself is very clean, quiet and comfortable, the bedrooms are spacious and there is plenty of parking available. The young staff are cheerful and helpful, whether engaged in room service, front desk or breakfast. They even provided us with water and cloths to remove seagull droppings from our car! The breakfast is probably the best we have come across. Excellent range of freshly cooked foods constantly replenished! Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely budget hotel in Bray was a great jumping off point for our tour group. Enjoyed a hike up the hill and down to the seaside. Bar is open in the eves and a full breakfast included. Comfortable beds and plenty of hot water with very friendly and helpful staff

Room tip: Enjoy the hike, the views are amazing.

Room tip: Plenty of car parking.

Stayed here for one night on our way to the ferry home to England. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the bedrooms were very clean and comfortable. A very clean bathroom and a good shower. Our three course evening meal offered a good choice, the food was delicious and the restaurant staff were great. In my opinion this hotel has received some harsh and very unfair reviews. I would have no hesitation about staying here again.
