We recently stayed in this hotel on New Years Eve night, and had a wonderful experience at the New Years Eve Ball. The dinner was amazing and the 1920's style Jazz Music was the best I've ever heard it. The fire was burning on our arrival and we were warmly welcomed for our 1 night stay. The Breakfast was the old style, you order at the table and the food comes freshly cooked and piping hot, I was delighted about this as it is so rare these days. I would highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be revisiting in the future.

Room tip: I would highly recommend a room at the seafront.

Recently stayed in the upgraded bay view room. Have to say wasn't worth the extra money . View was about the only nice thing about the room. Room needs updated. It's small . Bathroom small but functional. No towelling robes. Pretty much after shower you need to get dressed straight away as room also not very warm .. Tea coffee facilities in room very poor. Old kettle. Few tea bags 2 cups and some coffee sachets. Which weren't replaced by house keeping after 1st day.
Upgraded room over bar . Music playing till 1am on a Thursday night. Upon checking we were not informed other wise would of asked to be moved. Once complained we got a shrug off the shoulders and a sorry . Breakfast was ok. 1 sausage 1 bacon 2 eggs 1 each of pudding half tomatoes and few mushrooms plated up on the traditional Irish. The contential breakfast was ok. But staff slow to replace once levels where low and this was off season. Dinner menu poor selection with cost of 17.50 for a fish and chips that wasn't that large . Nicest thing about hotel was lobby and reception with its blazing fires. Please don't pay for up grade you will be fairly disappointed.

Stayed here just one night, reception area is by far the best part of the hotel, two very welcoming open fires and comfy armchairs, our room was good too, lovely sea view and the bed was very comfy.
The downside was the breakfast, served on a plate not much bigger than a side plate, and two overcooked fried eggs thrown on top of the other items, if you could improve this the hotel would get a top mark from us..::

Stayed here recently and enjoyed a most pleasant welcome. A quick check in by efficient staff. Good room, spacious and clean. Very efficient staff serving meals. Breakfast was very good; always great to have your order taken and served up to you. Nice dining area. Looking forward to a return visit,

The hotel is good and specialy the lounge downstairs is cozy and warm at night.
The location is a plus point. You can just cross the road to take the ferry trip. Try and take the rooms in the front with the lake view.
Much recommended.
