Delightful family run guesthouse just outside the pretty, historical town of Cobh, Co Cork. Greeted with a warm smile and offer of tea and home baked scones we knew we were going to enjoy our stay. This immaculate period house has large airy rooms with tasteful furnishings. Our bathroom was a little small but spotless and lovely Molton Brown toiletries and cosy fluffy towels. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast complete with gluten free bread. Wished we could have stayed longer than our one night but is top of the list for future visits to the area.

Room Tip: I didn't see all the rooms but I'm sure they are all equally pleasant.

Was greeted with a curt, you're early, your room isn't ready! Arrived by train from Dublin & didn't have much choice but to go a little early (about 1:00). Didn't think it would be a big deal to drop our luggage off & go into Cobh. Maybe Pam was just having an off day! Otherwise, our 2 day stay was fine. I do however, think it is overpriced compared to the other places we stayed.

I had a lovely stay with Pam and John, they were really welcoming, I had a lovely room and, having come down with an illness when I was there, they couldn't have been kinder to me. I love the beautiful house and the wonderful gardens and will definitely be visiting again.

We only had one night at Knockeven House and we wish that we could have had a longer stay. Pam and John were great hosts and gave us lots of helpful advice. We were welcomed with tea and scones and were made to feel instantly at home. Our room was stunning with wonderful views onto the garden and the countryside beyond. It was quiet, spacious and comfortable. We walked down to Cobh which is an easy walk and watched The Balmoral berth, on her way to reenact the voyage of the Titanic. After dinner make sure that you relax in front of the open fire and you can have a drink, courtesy of the honesty bar.

My first time at a B&B! My husband was on business in Cork and it was highly recommended that we try Knockeven House.

Location is wonderful. A short walk to Cobh and only minutes to the Rushbrooke train station for a 15 minutes train ride to downtown Cork.

Our hosts Pam and John are fantastic. Oh yes, the scones!!! Make sure you ask for Pam's scones.

Thank you, Pam & John and we look forward to visit again.
