Description: Jacks Coastguard Restaurant is a landmark building overlooking Rossbeigh and Inch Peninsula in the seaside village of Cromane between Kilorglin & Glenbeigh on the Ring of Kerry route. Nestled against the Atlantic Ocean, enjoy panoramic sea and mountain views in one of Kerrys Top Restaurants recently named Best Seafood Restaurant in Ireland by well respected foodie Georgina Campbell as well as listings with Bridgestone & Michelin Guides. The Station Bar and Coastguard Restaurant successfully combine old world charm with modern elegance.Guests can linger over a drink in the bustling Station Bar or enjoy the soft tones of the piano through the restaurant by our resident pianist JP Murphy. Only the finest and freshest of seafood is used to create dishes that would rival the most discerning of palate. Signature dishes such a Cromane Mussels, Tiger Prawns or perfectly seared Scallops should not be missed. For the unwilling seafood diner, our succulent Fillet of Beef should suffice nicely.

We stopped here one evening after a long drive - it really was packed so would recommend booking ahead (we had).

We all had the delicious chowder which was cleared instantly. The two adults had fish which was delicious. Children had tempura prawns which were a bit heavy for them but nice.

We were too full for dessert!.
Lots of potatoes and veg.
Will come again.

You walk through a rather ordinary looking pub bar into a lovely, bright restaurant area overlooking the water - it was a lovely day so a shame that the restaurant doesn't have any outdoor tables.

Mussels weren't on the lunch menu but they very kindly made a dish for me, which was quite tasty. The rest of the family chose a variety of fish dishes with varying degrees of satisfaction. We wouldn't rush here again.

Every time I come to Kerry I make time to visit Jack's. The welcome and service is all that you would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. The panoramic view is worth the visit alone, but the food makes it an exceptional experience. This gem is hidden in the glorious southwest of Ireland, far away from the crowds. It is well worth a visit.

This was my second visit to Jacks for dinner, and the chef and staff continue to provide excellent quality food and service. Seafood is fresh and served with at least 3 vegetables and different types of potatoes. Beef dishes are also excellent. Good selection of wines to accompany all dishes. Each evening they have a wonderful piano player/singer who delights his guests. The manager works the dining room continuously to make sure all guests are satisfied.
Attached Separate Pub/ bar with traditional Irish music and song by local talent.

We ate in Jacks on Saturday night, a party of 3. The minute we set foot in the door we met with such courtesy and helpfulness. The setting is idyllic what views pity the evening was not sunny! The staff are excellent, the food well what can I say..... it was just to die for such a selection and so fresh it was mouth watering. We will definitely be back!. Thank you
