We have just returned from a week here and have no hesitation in recommending it as a great place to stay.
Sharon was very helpful and welcoming to us after a long day travelling, there was even a jar of coffee, teabags and some cake waiting for us. The bungalow has lots of space and was clean and comfortable with everything needed for a relaxing break, the rooms are all en-suite there is a large lounge, well equipped kitchen and a laundry/cloakroom. There is easy access and plenty of parking space. Electric is paid for via a coin meter and heating if required is charged based on the oil used but we thought neither was excessive.
The bungalow is in a very quiet rural location but only 5 minutes from Adare and a couple of minutes from the main Limerick to Cork road giving easy access to the rest of the road network. The Cliffs of Mohar and Cork are both within an hours drive, Limerick is about 20 minutes away.
We had a lovel time. Theself catering was well eqipped for our needs and a good base for our travels. Our hostess was friendly and very helpful. it is only a 5 min drive to lovely Adare.
The house was well appointed in a wonderful location. I am only knocking the score because it did not note anywhere that the house was not a single family home. Part of the reason that we like to book houses is for the quiet and privacy, which was lacking in this rental. Sharon was a wonderful house, and the house was very nice (more comfortable seating in the lounge would not be remiss.). I like to know as much information upfront when renting, so I will share our electrical and fuel costs for the 7 full days that we were there. It cost approx 12 Euro in electrical costs, and 45 Euro in oil. We only heated the house for 4 hours a day when we got in. I would factor an additional 10 euro or more per day into the cost of the rental.
Just returned home from a great week in Ireland and had the good fortune to book our accommodations at Earl House. The house itself is clean, comfortable, roomy and well appointed. Set in a quiet farm area its close to the villages of Adair and Partrickswell, convenient to the major highways. Sharon made us feel right at home with fresh hot cross buns and coffee when we arrived. It was simply perfect all around.
